Cross Stitch Page
Yes, I enjoy working with needlework, specifically counted cross stitch.  I have dabbled a little with other forms of needlework (bargello, needlepoint, and crewel) but enjoy working with cross stitch the most.  The finished product of crewel work looks nice, but I think they spelled "crewel" wrong.
I take spells with doing needlework, I'll pick one up and work fast and furious on it, and then not pick up another one for months.  I started doing the various types of needlework back in the late 1980s when I was house-bound for a work-related injury.  Not being able to drive, I was about to go stir-crazy and my sister introduced me to doing needlework.   I think the first project I attempted was a small pillow done in bargello (a geometrically-designed form of needlepoint).  Since then I have done around 30 cross stitch projects for myself, family and a few friends.
Since I just have a few pictures on these pages, I only have photographs of a few of my projects.  Hopefully, in the future, I will get more of them photographed and posted.
The two projects above are from a series of cross stitch designs for various castles - "fantasy" and real.  I also have the pattern for Neuschwanstein Castle in the Bavarian Alps (in southern Germany).  Hopefully, someday, I will get that one done as well.
