PART 1:

These are the days you cannot know

Women screaming babies crying
Over their heads The Beast is Flying

The Beast just wants to sing his song
But he's not like you, so he must be wrong

The townsfolk go out and they try to fight
"It's speaking its mind and that ain't right"
"How dare he be different, how dare he be free?"
The Beast, though scared, he will not flee

The Beast will soar all day and all night
While the men down below still ache for a fight
A tear drops from his giant eye
If only they'd listen, men too could fly

PART 2:

The Beast has grown weary of the humans' game
With a deafening roar, it's time to maim
The people flee "Run to the Square!"
But upon arrival The Beast is there

Laughing

CHORUS 2:
"You should have listened when you had the chance
Now pick up your sword, pick up your lance
Fall to your knees and pray right now
I'm Still gonna get you anyhow"

"Why don't you listen? Why must we fight?"
"You're a beast. It's our duty, our right!"
So the battle's begun, the villagers charge
They have weapons, but The Beast is large

BITING
SLASHING
CRUSHING
DEATH

The Beast looks around, his work nearly done
And he savors the taste on the tip of his tongue
He sees one more; he's trying to hide
"Now don't you wish you were on my side?"

The man, realizing the err of his ways
Resolves to go out and tell of these days
