Ok, so obviously I'm not posting as often as I said I was going to... But I get to it when I can. So, we had another Debate meet last weekend, Brandon and I didn't do too well this time, but we had fun anyway. I got to see Kirsten a lot, which was pretty sweet. Also, Mitch and I found out that our coaches either have some severe mental problems or they just don't like us much. I'm not going to go into detail on that here, but most of you know what I'm talking about, and if not you can ask if you really want to. I'm considering shaving my beard, but I'm not sure how I want to do it. Should I just shave it completely, shave it and let it grow back to see what it does, or just trim it back? Or should I just go ahead and leave it how it is? I don't know, I'll have to think about it some more. Anyways, I'm starting to learn Maya, which is the animation software that they used to do the effects in movies like The Lord of the Rings. It's really pretty cool. I've only gone through the basic training movies so far, but there is a lot of material online and available for purchase to help in learning this software. Now, I've just need to set aside a time when I'll actually sit down and work on it. Tonight the Tsunami Tech crew is taping and doing the PA for an anti-tobacco event at Sheldon Jackson University. Next weekend we're putting on another middle school dance, with lights, lasers, DJ and the whole thing. On February 10th, 11th, and 12th we have our biggest production of the year: Jazz fest. We'll be doing a setup of 6-12 cameras, full sound and lighting set-ups, and a lot of post-production editing and duplicating work. The equipment alone usually takes about two days just to set up, and then there's a day or two of taking it down at the end. Through some really bad decision, the next debate meet is scheduled for the same weekend, so I'm going to have to miss that. |
