| Saturday, 10-30-04 Well, it's Saturday, the day before Halloween. Does anyone else think it's kind of ironic that Halloween is on a Sunday? I know it's bound to happen every once in a while, but it still makes me laugh. The Sitka School District decided to give us the day after Halloween off from school. Why? Well, no one's quite sure. I do have a few suspicions: 1. They know that most of the students (and teachers) will not be in any condition for school after their Halloween parties. 2. They've decided that Halloween, being a national holiday, deserves some time off for reflection. 3. The teachers got tired of teaching so decdied this was a good enough excuse to take some time off And then of course ther'e always the possibility that it was completely random, but what are the chances of that? The Tsunami Video Crew has been pretty busy lately. We put on the Halloween dance for the middle school yesterday, we're doing the sound and Video for the Stardust Ball tonight, and on Tuesday we've got another School Board meeting to videotape. As it is Saturday, I am of course working. The extreme boredom of my job has brought this question to my mind: What weighs more, a pound of feathers or a pound of gold? Or do they weigh the same amount. For those of you who don't know, I'll post the answer next time. Now, I'll leave you with this final thought: "Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run, there's still time to change the road you're on." |
