The Raiders took the win in two games against the Lizards tonight. We held
the lead throughout the first game. We had court terms, Michael Jackson
songs, European soccer teams, wrestlers, forms of id and knights, for a 30
- 18 victory for the Raiders.
The Lizards gave us a good fight in the second game. It was close right
from the start. We started with a 5 -5 tie in Monopoly properties. The tie
continued in the next round, a double point police things cat, 15 - 15. By
the fifth round the Lizards knowledge of Carpenter songs gave them a 25 -
26 lead. The Raiders pulled through in the final cat, types of pasta, for
a 30 - 27 win.
Great playing tonight, Murf!! Go Team!!

(commentary) The first game began with a tie, 4-4, but the Raiders
pulled ahead in the next round and never looked back, winning 18-30.
The second game was a nail-biter. We tied after the first round,
5-5, and again after a double point "Policeman Supplies" cat at
15-15. The Raiders took the lead for the next 2 rounds, and we came
back in the "Carpenters songs" cat to lead 26-25. The
final round, "pasta" the Raiders took 5 points to our 1, to win
27-30. Great game and a lot of fun!!

AAAHHHWOOO! These were some hard fought (and harder laughing) games
that could have gone anyway...the room was filled with Rocks and LOLs and
talking horses...the first game started 5-4 Rocks in American sports.
We advanced to a 11-4 lead with a sweep in India (why couldn't it have
been my kitchen?) and held on tight through Mexican tourist spots,
composers with a B, quantum mechanics (no, Dags, not with the professor!)
and finally won with 80's TV.
The second game started exactly the same, 5-4, and it looked like it would
take the same route (but of course looks can be deceiving) We led
through horse breeds, tennis players and EAR words, but the LOL proved to
be in shape by tying it up in the fitness club cat, then finished us off
in the funeral cat.
The LOL took an early 2-3 lead in the third game, but we came back to an
8-7 score in the police cat (and we have the right to remain silent)
The Alan Parsons Project took us to 12-10, then the LOL fell apart and
forgot to say "Dags," an answer in the Aussie slang cat, where
we took a commanding 18-11 lead. Apparently distraught by this
oversight, the LOL lost momentum and we won 30-17 after naming
Butterflies.
This was a good, fun, competitive match...maybe we should eat Halloween
candy more often....

35-17.

What was that comment from Shirley the Greek
...Unstoppable? I believe she just may be right as the Rat Pack
gains momentum with their resumed winning streak. Our first game
against the Sixers was merciless to say the least. Ev and I decided
to put our rat
heads together on the Bahamas Island category and split the answers in half
with a sweep!
The last category of this game was Marvel Comic Characters, which the Rats
also swept.
Game 2 put us in a defensive position as the Sixers put on their fighting
gloves and swept
the category of one word movie titles. We came back strong with
categories such as names of Straits, which we answered 9 out of 10, and
window dressings, which we swept. The Sixers fought hard and to the
end and pulled out 8 out of 10 answers of things having to do with
Policemen. Thanks for the challenge Sixers and good luck in the rest
of your tourney games.

(commentary) The Six pack was out in force tonight but to no avail.
The rats slobbered all over us in 2 games. Before we knew it , we were
down 8-1 after the first cat Islands in the Bahamas. It got worse from
there as the Rats coasted to a 32-14 win.
The second game found us down after 2 cats 15-1. Then the massive
bribes I was giving bot paid off. The cat called for U. S. cities starting
with B. Bot was really looking for world cities starting with B. We
outscored the screaming rats 4-2 on this cat and the comeback was on. But
sad to say, we were too far behind , but made the final score respectable
at 31-23. GOOD EFFORT PACK!!...GOOD GAME RATS!

Whew when did this become November Fools' Day? LOL! I missed
the first half hour of this game because my sis & her b/f insisted I
go out cruising with them. What they didn't tell me was that they
were going to a city that was an hour away to do it because one of his
friends lived there! *Sigh*, oh teenagers. Can't live with
them, can't live without them!
Well, the first game that I missed might have been ours if I had been
there ACK but it depends on the cats really. The final score was
33-24. (Thanks Hope and whoever else for supplying that)
When I came in, in the middle of the second game, the LOLers were doing
great, only trailing 12-15. Soon enough we had tied it 23-23 on the
Fitness club cat, and went on to win the second game 30-24!
In the third game, LOLers took an early lead on Forts, 3-2, but the
Rockers read us our Miranda Rights on the Police Officer cat well
this wasn't Police Officer EQUIPMENT, it was THINGS that have to do with a
police officer LOL but either way, Third Rock took a 8-7 lead, followed by
a 12-10 lead on the Alan Parson's Project cat but the Aussie Slang
was when they got their fair dinkum share and zoomed ahead 18-11. To
make matters worse, they decided to toot their own contrabassoons on
Woodwind instruments and went up 24-15. The butterflies cat was the
last cat of the night and it was just like the scene from
"Phenomenon" where the doctor asks John Travolta to name as many
mammals as he can in a minute and he goes through every one of them in
like 30 seconds. Hey, they're not called the POWER Rockers for
nothing! They won the game 30-17.
Another great win Rockers! Congratulations on your First place and
best of luck hanging on to it!

Bot mustof gotten a new pair of boots today cause he was booting people
out of the room left and righ all throughout this game!! At one
point he booted 3 Wonders at the same time! Bad Bot!!
FourPlay took their loss to us on Saturday very seriously. They came
back today in full force and won. We might have experienced a
feeling of DejaVu after just playing them 2 days ago, but it only lasted
until the game and the scoring began.
The first game started out well for us and after the first cat, Native
American Indian Tribes, we were ahead 6 - 4. With the 2nd cat - Red,
White and Blue Flags, FourPlay turned it around, took the lead and never
gave it back. Throughout the game we wer always only a couple of
points behind but we came up short in the end. Other cats included
States that end in A, Frequent telephone contacts, Rolling Stone's albums
and Fast food chains. We lost 33 - 21
The second game started off with US Army Ranks and a tied score of 3 - 3.
FourPlay took the 2nd Cat - Computer terminology and increased their lead
to 11 - 5. We were never able to make a comeback as hard as we
tried. And bot didn't do us any favors with the final round with
FOurPlay up by 10 points by giving a Double Point Round for Sean Connery
Movies. We lost 35 - 17.
