(commentary) The Raiders lost a heartbreaker in 3 games to the
LOLers. The first game the Raiders were in control from
the start winning 32-22. The second game started with a 5-1
loler lead. The Raiders came to even it up at 8 a piece on things
found in a purse. The LOlers came right back going ahead 15-12
on irregular verbs and little house on the prarie cats. We
went ahead on the harrison ford cat 19-18. The lolers came
back on things on a desk and flora/fauna bands going up 28-25.
Fittingly they ended it on words that contain "end".
They maintained a slim lead throughout game 3, we tried to catch em but
they were just too fast. Congratulations lolers on a
great game. Honorable mention went murph and rick.

WHOOO HOOOOO!!! Another great win by the Liz^ards!!! Game one
began with the Liz^ards taking the lead, 7-3. In the 3rd round we
took 9 points in the "diseases" cat, and another 9 points in the
5th round, "blue shades". Final score was 33-15.
The Wonders took the lead in the second game, 7-3. We came back in
the second round, "geological features" with 8 points. We
never let go of the lead after that.
As always, the Wonders are a lot of fun to play....we missed ya, Shel.
GOOOOO LIZ^ARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What can I say? The first game started in a tie (5-5 in Charlemagne)
but the Rats pulled way ahead in a double Pacino (19-9) and never looked
back. The first game ended 36-21 vermin.
The second game began with a 9-1 rat lead in army ranks, but we came back
in a double quantum mechanics round to take a 17-13 lead. We held on
through British sitcoms, location food and raffi songs, but the slobber
slipped us up in computer companies and the rats won, 31-30.
Good game, vermin....

Six pack came, they saw & they
conquered....FOURplay won game 1) 32-22.
FOURplay seemed awfully distracted with the Red Sox/Indian game which
really
doesnt matter once they get to NY & the YANKEES put them to sleep.
Anyway......SIX came back & beat us the next 2 games 32-24 &
30-21.....Kinda
reminds me of the way the YANKEES ran over the Rangers or the way the METS
pummeled the Diamondbacks...haha

GO YANKEES.....................( If someone else would do the reports you wouldn't have to hear my YANKEE
/METS commentaries... hehe)

Rocks v Ratties
(Game1) 21-36 rats
(Game2) 30-31
MVP: Every Rat in the Tourney2 Sewer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Roll_Call - lauren^, corwin1, syd, lisasweet, glitzee, texmania,
sinsear, jimon, debby31, lexine26, ev-
We nailed game one right off the bat with a double point round in
double point pacino films, and managed to win with 9 points on army ranks.
Game 2 got a little bit frightening... the rocks had the lead
throughout most of the game... due to their fine performance on a double
point quantum mechanics. At the end of "RAFFI SONGS" (gotta
love that sinsear managed to score on the baby beluga in the deep blue
sea...We're - to my knowledge, the only team that has been cursed with
that category two times in tourney play - Wait... I AM GROWING said tex)
the score was 28 - 23. We were ready to go into game three... but
Bot was kind and gave us computer hardware manufacturers... and nine
points to go with it. At that point, we took the game by one
point.
A one point win signaled a whole team MVP. Every point counts.
One last item of note... Ratties... Do you know how badly I want all of
you? (ev's private pop-up intended for a certain markoll was
delivered to all the ratties in a pm... sorry for the confusion... i'm so
embarrassed.)

WoW!! Whatta game! We whooped some butt and it felt good!! ^6 Game 1
started out with a tie (4-4) in the 4-letter womens name category.
We led the way for the most part but were beat in the end....Game 2
started out in our favor with us gaining 8 points to their 2. In the end
we stomped them 32-24. The last game proved to be comical~The
helping verbs category came up and I was a bit confused so I sat it out
for the most part. Yapp just typed in randoom words and managed o
get three points in that round, ^6 Yapp!!
The ending was victorious for the 6-Pack. 30-21 Ahhhh the smell of
victory....and the stench of De Feet. GO PACK!!

The Raiders were fast and furious and ready to walk us right down that
plank in the first game of this fine October week! They took the
lead 6-3 on condiments, and both scores doubled to 12-6 after the Back To
The Future cat came and went. They continued to trip us up on cats
such as animal songs, occasions to send a card, and Heavy Metal 80's
bands. With the score 28-18, they had no trouble nabbing the first
game 32-22 a la songs from Aretha Franklin.
I honestly didn't expect the turnaround that started to happen just then.
In the second game, the LOLers hooked up with a 5-1 lead on TV Brands!
The Raiders wasted no time in tying the game up 8-8 on things in a Woman's
Purse (so that's what they keep in those treasure chests? hehehe) We
LOLers didn't get down about it, we earned back our lead and fought to
keep it, as the Raiders gave us clear and present danger on Harrison Ford
movies, almost tying it at 19-18, LOLers still in the lead. We had
our desks organized though and pulled ahead 25 to 21, eventually winning
it 34-28 on "words that end with END".
The third game was pretty close, too. We took a 5-2 lead on
"DD" words, and the Raiders hung in there with types of Bread
Products at 9-7. They held the gap to 2 points all the way to 18-16,
until finally we were able to widen it to 21-18 with words containing
"MEN". We prayed not to see that Funerals cat, and we got
Weddings instead :-) Widened the lead some more, 26-21, and finally
won the game with David Bowie albums, 30-27.
Congratulations to MVP Lauree you played superbly tonight!

The WiGgLiNg SeXy WoNdErS suffered another agonizing defeat today.
We lost 2 straight games to the Lizards.
The Lizards took the lead early in game one with Words with Ear in them
and just continued to increase their lead while we struggled to score
points. The Lizards showed their knowledge of diseases and scored 9
out of the 10 points and then did the same with Shades of blue.
Queen songs was the cat they took the game with. Final Score:
33 -15.
We started off game two in the lead (7-3) but our happiness was short
lived when we remained scoreless in the next cat - Geological Features of
the Earth, the Lizards, however scored 8 pts in this cat to take the lead
11 - 7. I guees if they know so much about diseases, it's only
logical that they would also know alot of famous doctors! They
increased their lead to 18 - 8 and then ran away with the game with Things
from Bonanza and Begins and Ends with A.
We certainly don't lose from lack of wiggling, streaking, typing and
praying! Just from always being outnumbered!
Common teamies - Let's get on a winning streak!
