While i felt bad for them if was nice to see a great turnout from the Raiders. The first game was fairly close until we showed our knowledge of fine dining by taking most of the answers on the McDonalds menu cat in a double point round. We never looked back from there winnig 34-15. The second game was close until the group names of birds cat came up. We outscored them 8-0 on that cat and went on to win 33-20. Its always fun going against fourplay and we look foward to meeting them again. (reporter) rickman9 |

(teams) 7 vs 2 (Game1) 32 - 38 (Game2) 24 - 33 (MVP) Secretagent (comments) --------------- Tough competition was had by all tonight--But the Lizards shined through!!!! first game lizards started strong in the African islands cat with 6 and kept a little lead all the way through til the best Actress Oscar winning cat which pulled the LOL's close 24-25 the came Sally Field movies where the LOL's pulled ahead 29-28 we tied it up with Board games 30-30 then came Micheal Douglas films lizads muust like those cause we won 32-38!!! Second game started out same as 1st with the lizards getting 6 in the first cat then another tie came to us after 80's TV (i must have slept thru the 80's cause i can never remember those) --Val and TNT whipped us ahead with there knowledge of the Jackson 5--then came the stupid 3 letter words beginning with G Lizards won but we lost Val in the cat somewhere--making the official score 24 - 33 but val did score so technically it was 24 - 34!!! Great Job Lizards and to our newest team player Secretagent who scored quite well his 1st time out and was made MVP!!! with honorable mentions going to Valerie--TNT--and Sandy!!! --------------- (reporter) Badpill |

This was one of the most enjoyable games I have played in a long time. The Packers were out in force and heating up the boards. All three games were close. Rockers started game one with a sweep and lead the rest of the way to a 30-27 win. Game two started out tied and the lead went back and forth and tied once with the Packers coming out on top 32-31. (ouch) Game three started with the Rocks in the lead and never looking back. The Pack stayed right on our heels and chased us to a 31-25 win. Congrats to a ALL on a well played and gun game. | 5 | (teams) The Rat Pack vs. The Wonders (Game1) 31-10 (rats!) (Game2) 32-10 (rats!) (MVP) Neidermeyer & Lisasweet (comments) --------------- Doesn't get much better than this! The Rats are back where they belong....in first place (ok, presently sharing it with the Lizards). Here was the secret to tonights win against the wonders. We rats gathered together ahead of time and agreed that we would simply not allow the wonders to exceed 10 points in a game! LOL! Though it did seem to be the unmagical number for the wonders tonight. The first game was fast and furious, with the Rats sweeping some cats like names of bird groups and Greek heroes.
The last category threw us over the top with car parts. You see...we
rats see alot of spare parts and abandoned cars that we scurry through in
the sewer. The second game was filled with thrills and spills, with the
rats dominating the game and soaring to new heights with cats like cricket
terms and things of the movie "alien". Looking forward
with sewer breath to the day we stand alone (and not in a trap) in first
place! |

The first round in the first game really hurt because of the Rockers' knowledge of Celine Dion songs(10-0)...We scored 6 points in the second round being Anniversary gifts. We slowly crept up to them and in the last category of that game our Fabulous Team scored 7 points!!! However, we lost that game. Game 2 started out with a champ round potty break for me boy did I run fast! The first scores were a tie (5-5) with both teams equally knowing about stuff inside a lunchbox. We surged ahead in the third round showing off the fact that we like to shop (kinds of stores). We were tied again in the 5th round with the different kinds of footwear cateogry (25-25). But we were able to pull one point ahead of them winning the second game with 3-syllable countries(32-31)>>>>Can You Say Close?<<<< In the third game the Rockers showed their power until the next to the last category when they were only 6 points ahead...BUT they know their Al Pacino movies!! They did, however, have about 10 or 12 others there to cover, and with only 7 of us, it was a tough game. But we sure played a good one considering the odds. The Lizards started by taking a 6-2 lead on African islands on the Atlantic. We managed to hold the gap to four points through Richard Burton and Things that are Red. Then, with things in Las Vegas, we drew an Ace and brought the score to 16-17, Lizards barely ahead. Breeds of cattle found them trampling back their lead, 21-18, but we nailed them again on Best Actresses, bringing the score to 24-25. On the next cat, whatever it was waaahhh I can't remember! But we took the lead at last on that cat, 29-28. Board games came up next, and the Lizards tied it up 30-30! Of course it never fails a cat like Michael Douglas would come to ruin the LOLers day! We lost 38-32. And I still haven't gotten all the rat slobber off of me from Tuesday's game! I'm sorta getting attached to it... The second game, we had a better start, only trailing 4-6 at the beginning after Stereo Brands and bringing it to 10-11 and eventually tying it at 14-14 on 80's TV shows! The Lizards regrouped just then and retook their lead, slithering towards the homestretch at 27-21. And they finally won it 33-24. Congratulations Lizards...and great job Sevens!!! We were not only defeated, but I am sad to report that we were slaughtered. Being outnumbered 16 to 1 was our first disadvantage. Our second disadvantage was the crappy cats bot gave us tonight! Game one we started off with Brazilian cities. The wonders scored 5 points in this cat and had a one point lead. Unfortunately, it was all downhill from there. The Rats took the lead and ran away with the win with cats including Landlocked Nations, Greek Mythology, Names for Groups of Birds and Running Car Parts. Final Score 31 - 10. I was encouraged (hopeful?) that Bot would be kind to us the 2nd game, but I was wrong. The first category - Cities visited by Fogg during his trip around the world in 80 days resulted in a tie 5 - 5. (I am still trying to figure out who Fogg is, I never heard of him!!) After that the rats took the lead and we only managed to score and additional 5 points in the remaining cats: Things associated with cricket, baby food flavors, Canadian universities, Laurel and Hardy Movies & Things associated with the Alien Movies. Common bot - have a heart! Or get a new job, and give yours to a kind and fair person!!! |
