A slightly outnumbered raider team took on the rats.   the raiders hung tough in the first game.   we actually had the lead 19-18 but the rats took their flintstone vitamins and pulled away 30-24.   the rats head the lead the whole way in game 2 winning 31-21.

We got our 4th win in a row tonight!!  Surfie and Yapp were the only members of Sixpack present, and were great sports and a lot of fun!  The first few rounds of the first game, bot gave us some "fun" cats like "Cricket playing countries" and "Quantum Mechanics"....and then we had a lot of people get booted at once.  It slowed down the game, but we went on to win, 35-2.  The second game was quicker and ended with a final score of 37-14.

GOOOO LIZ^ARDS!!!!!

(Commentary)   The Rocks were out in force hoping to redeem in a rematch with the challenging LOL crew.  Avalanches created an appearance more than once on this wonderful fall Friday nite.  Ribot was in his prime too, and let me say this now Thank goodness for old cats. We started with Common Trademarks sweeping the cat 7-3.   Next cat kind of brought on another avalanche of sorts (and a monitors nightmare) 2 digit prime numbers luckily casualties were few.

We continued to stone the crew through wallet contents, shows with the word love, sigourney weaver films, words beginning with p with 6 or more letters, and stomped on through Woody Allen Pictures for a final score of 34-25 in the first game.  The whole team was rocking and ready for the next game as we rolled thru knights of the round table, christian slater films, dictionary abbreviations.  Round 4 double points ( oh i love them) called for a rock sweep and we lead the game 22-6.  Bot decided to grace us with geography in  the next category, Canadian provinces and provided us with yet another avalanche, rockers lead 28-10.  Next and final cat Disney cartoons then came the stomping, rocks pummeled the LOLers for a 40-14 victory.  It was a fun game and tassels were flying.  We missed all our teamies who weren't able to make it and hope we see them at the game tomorrow. Signing off before i write  a friggin book,

this was an odd double header.

both games were amazingly lopsided with a single player scoring alot of points in a single cat.   Most notable:  Neider got 6 paints.

Servers are daffy sometimes.

Anyway, it was a fun game with the HOLY raiders.  Look forward to matching wits with them again.  Good game all!

Good luck to all those with wetness from Floyd, too.

One of the more anticipated matches of the preseason was the match between the two teams who competed in the finals last season...us and the Rockers!!!  Well, they had their revenge this time around, baby.

In the first game, we kept up with 'em fairly well...keeping the gap down to 5 points as we approached a double point round at 27-22, Rockers in the lead.  Of course we thought this was going to be the last round of Game 1, especially when we saw the words ***DOUBLE POINT ROUND***.  The category, however, was words with 6 or more letters that begin with P...quite possibly the broadest cat in Ridic History!  Rockers scored one answer and went on to take it 34-25.

Game two, the Rockers' howling began as they broke from a tie 3-3 to an enormous lead four rounds later, 28-10!  I typed "rb double point fleetwood mac" right then..and coincidentially, my 200-CD player (randomly) picked "Rhiannon" right at that moment.  Well, the next round WAS a double pointer, but not Fleetwood Mac.  It was Disney Movies.  The Rockers made a wish upon a star and flew away with 40 points in the end!!!  Gotta love it when somebody hits 40 points.

When Music and SinginBob have had time to fully recover from their real-life troubles, we will be back in business.  We promise you that!  And we hope the rest of the LOLers will be perhaps more "into it" when we get to the actual season!!!

The Wonders had a very light turnout this evening.  We were outnumbered again. We did play our hearts out.  We tied Fourplay 7 to 7 on the second cat with the grammer cat. At least the Wonders remembered something from grade school.  However, they came back with a big snakebite to lead us 14 to 9.  We trailed a little behind the rest of the game and almost had them at the end with sitcoms of the past and present but came up short with a final score of 27-30.

We starting off the second game with a 6-4 lead on cutting utensils. SHEL got vicious on that cat.  We were tied up for the next few rounds which included, cheeses, Melrose Place characters and rivers.  That darn old Math Branches cat came up and they moved ahead 22-18.  The Wonders continued to strike back with the last two cats, things found in an aquarium and Roman Emperors, but came up short again 28-30.  Fun was had by all in both games.  Hopefully a better turnout for the Wonders will bring them a Victory.  Good Luck Team.
