Great turnout RAIDERS. The first game the raiders were ahead from the start.
The second game looked glum, with the Raiders trailing by 5 pts at about the
halfway point, until the "Mexican Food" cat came and the Raiders vaulted into
the lead and never looked back. Great team effort.

WHOOOO HOOOOO LIZ^ARDS!!! Great game!!! Again, our fantastic attendance helped
us to win against a really great team, the LOLers!! We took a slim lead in the first
game by 5-4. The LOLers took the lead on the next round, with a sweep by Flamepillar
in the "Hall and Oates songs" cat to make the score 9-5. We got 6 points
in the "Arts and Crafts" cat to take the lead back, 13-11. We scored 6
more in the next cat, "Prepositions" to make the score 19-15. "Baby
Supplies" came up next and we scored another 6 points!! The final score was
Liz^ards, 32-23!!
The second game was a nail-biting, palm-sweating battle all the way. We took the
lead in the first round, "Courthouse terms", 4-3. The LOLers tied it up on
the next round, "Kinds of Stores", 8-8. We Liz^ards know our "Body
Parts", and took back the lead 13-11. We retained the lead, barely, for the
next 4 rounds. The score was 27-24 when "Richard Marx songs" came up.
Flamepillar and Lightdancer each got a point, making the score 27-26. The
final cat, "Narnia" gave our Maltvinegar a chance to shine, scoring the winning
points...final score was 32-28!! Great game, LOLers!!!! GOOOOO LIZ^ARDS
GOOOOO!!!!!!

second, was comprised of the brave and valiant TRIXIANNE!! A trip to Wonderland
and Spain---first aid stuff and traffic signs were the cats. Game 2 was circus
stuff, wrestlers, Coppola films, and a few I forgot. (sorry) TRIXIEANNE of the Six
Pack deserves a medal. Our new Rock, Aqua16, did a great job. And now ROCKS, let us

Fun and challenge was had by all. These 2 games went by fairly fast for the
scurrying rats on a mission for victory.
Game 1 started out for both teams fairly even, then toward the middle of the game, the
Rats pulled out in front and never looked back. We wound up the win with the last
category of things on a roof, which is pretty interesting since us Rats usually hang out
in lower terrortory. Game 2 stayed pretty much in the Rats favor throughout the
game, with butterbby wrapping it up with her expertise on words that begin with
"com". Good times and future wins ahead for the Rat Pack, heading into the
beginning of the regular season in excellent
standing.

It was just another Manic Monday here for us LOLers as we shuffled into the Tourney room
to face the Nekkid Liz^ards, who seem poised to start the season off right. Even
Seahawk^ himself gave up Monday Night football to help the Lizards claim their victory
tonight! Now THAT's what I call commitment!
Despite the fact there were about twice as many Lizards as LoLers in the room, we played a
great game. Yours truly swept five answers in the "Hall and Oates songs"
cat to put the LOLs ahead 9 to 5, but the Lizards got down to business and took back the
lead and went on to win 32-23.
The second game was a regular nail-biter, as we were neck in neck the whole time..up until
near the end when the Lizards took a 26-22 lead on the funerals cat (2nd time that cat has
happened to us in four games!). However, the game inched on after that. We
managed to narrow the gap to 27-24, and then 27-26 with Richard Marx songs. The
Lizards got back at us and took five on the Narnia Chronicles to win it 32-28.
Well played tonight, Lizards!!! Just remember Nedi, you may have been able to beat
your ol' son at Ridic, but I can still beat you at Tetris Attack. LOL!!!

(gameday) Monday 09/13/99
(teams) Rats and Wonders
(Game1) 34-17 RATS
(Game2) 33-13 RATS
(MVP) LIBRA
(Present) JFGordon, Libra, Sadie, Angel-Wolf, Johnny-Taz, Ms-Def, Athena and
Ifeelforyou.
(Commentary) Well what can we say but don't feed those RATS after midnight or
they multiply. We were outnumbered a bit. The Wonders had a tough first game
with some not so favorite Cats that included Asian languages, Canadian Colleges and
Religions Around the World. They pretty much stomped us 34-17. The Wonders began
wiggling more the second game to shake off some of the slobbering rats without success.
Our Wonders men were successful in finding things in a makeup case. GEE that makes
me Wonder. LOL. The Space Missions and Books of Mormon really pulled the Rats off to
a strong lead of 22-7. The Wonders couldn't catch up with the last two cats and lost
33-13. OUCH. Better Luck next Time.
