(Commentary)   The Raiders had another good turnout as they played a fun, close two game match with the Wonders.

The first game was close all the way until Stars24 saved us with an impressive 5-bagger in the pirate category.  The Wonders game roaring back in game two with an impressive 10-0 sweep of the Yosemite category.   The raiders pillaged their way back, taking the lead after showing their knowledge of punctuation.  Teddybear finished off the second game for the raiders on the chevy chase cat.

WHOOOO HOOOOO LIZ^ARDS!!!!  Great win tonight!!  We took on the undefeated Rockers and came through with flying colors!!
The first game the Rockers took the lead right away.  We came very close after 6 rounds with the score at 26-24, and lost with a final of 34-25.

The second game we zoomed ahead with the "things in a Doctors office" cat at 7-2.  The next cat, "Army Ranks" gave us an even larger lead at 13-6.  Jacksons favorite cat, "Parts of an Electric Guitar" came up next, and we led 17-12.  Badpill shined in the final round of the game, "Palindrones", with 3 points to win the game, 30-24.

In the third game we took the lead right away.  We led after 3 rounds 14-7.  The next round, "Bridge terms", the Rockers started catching up, the score was 18-12.  And the "Attractions at Disneyland" cat brought them even closer and the score was 19-18.  We forged ahead in the next cat, "Magazines" with 6 points, and yours truly got 3 answers in the final round, "Languages".  Final score was 32-23.

Great attendance and Great enthusiasm for the Liz^ards!!!  It was the first night for red-k9 as a Liz^ard, who scored some critical points to become MVP...congrats Red!!
GOOOO LIZ^ARDS GOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

(Commentary)  Invasion of the Reptilians.. a bad movie or a bad night in ridic??? For the Rockers it meant a bad night in ridic. The lizards slithered out from everywhere and were scoring like crazy. The  Rockers put up a good fight and took game one but the Slitherers took games 2 and 3 for the win. All games were exciting and very close. We look forward to meeting the Lizards in regular season play. GO TEAM ROCKER!!!

Fast and furious to the finishline were the Rats tonight...straight from the depths of the sewer!  I came in a tad late to the 1st game, but saw that we were pretty much ahead throughout.  The last category in the first game was freshwater fish, and Ev shed her Rat fur in exchange for gills and fins and swept that category!  Game 2 went pretty much the same, with the Rats cleaning up in droves with such cats as Alice in wonderland, Brazilian cities (Buffy, muy bien muchacha!), and finally German male names.  Thanks for a fun and fair game fourplay.  We look forward to playing you again in the upcoming season.

Our beloved captain, MusicLuvr, will be getting out of the hospital shortly following some extensive surgery...we're happy for you Music and glad you made it!! And this win was just for you :-)

It was a very slow game actually, beginning as a 4 on 3 match and escalating to 5 on 4 (or 5) match in the 2nd game.  The first game was 19-9 LOLs after six rounds, so it was looking to be a long one.  But Bot gave us a double point round, things associated with the board game "Clue"..and in 45 short seconds, lightdancer earned her MVP honors by grabbing the magnifying glass and scoping out five of the answers for us! Great job Light!

Ski-dude and MilleniumLOL showed up to make the second game more interesting, but this game took even longer to complete, nine rounds with no double pointers and one that nobody seemed to know anything about.  I wouldn't know which cat it was since I got disconnected during the round before.  It seems we learned a thing or two from the Rats the other night, cuz the Rodents cat was our platform to jump from a tie at 18 to a 25-19 lead.  Surprisingly, one of the cats that almost everyone does well on, "songs with MAN in the title", slipped by afterwards with no score whatsoever!  In the end it was the baseball teams that we knocked out of the park, ending it on 33-23.

Great game Six-Packers!  And God bless all those in the path of Hurricane Floyd..our prayers are with you!

The wonders were off and running for the first couple of cats of game one holding a small lead over the raiders until we found out that apparently those pirates go to a heck of a lot of carnivals where they took it over and never looked back with it.  They dominated us in their own pirate cat after that as well as Canadian islands (they are northern travelers on their ship???) and despite an effort for us to pull back into it in the good ole Toronto (thank goodness that is an old cat) cat, the raiders made landfall with the victory.

Game two didnt start quite as well for us at first with the pirates showing that they like to sing Christmas songs, but Ifeelforyou and Athena quickly changed that by bringing home the better part of a Wonders sweep of Yosemite.  This held us pretty well till we found out that apparently the raiders have taken one too many trips to Dallas and they pulled back with the lead and then held on to take it all home.
