(then) (now)

My name is Krista.
I was born in a small town in
Pennsylvania in 1975.
Since I'm not really sure exactly what
to write about myself, I will start with
what I love to do most; my writing.

From the time that I learned to write in school,
I felt a great passion for writing.
As I got older, that passion for writing grew.
It's one of my favorite past
times and I hope to one day make a career
of it by getting a book published.
I have written things like plays/musicals
for church, stories for my children
and fanfictions for The Monkees and Full House.

I love things like swapping friendship books,
sticker bags, sticker books, stationery, stickers, key chains (lost more),
listening to music (60s, some 70s, 80s and
Christian--Contemporary and Gospel),
watching TV, e-mailing and canvasing
(the stuff you make with yarn on plastic canvas that is).
I have many other interests
and they do vary on my moods.

I have a love for animals.
Some of my favorite animals are horses,
dogs, birds, wolves, deer, tigers
and the list goes on.
I love how God made each
creature for its own purpose.
Have you ever sat and listened
to the crickets at night?
That has to be my most favorite night sound.
I used to lay in bed at night
listening to the peep frogs when
spring was near. That sound was so
comforting and quieting.
Where I live now, I hear the crickets
but do not get to hear the peep frogs
since I do not live near any ponds that I know of.

I have a love for music too.
My father is always trying to
get me up on the church stage
to sing in front of everyone.
Once in a while I would give in
and do so but most of the time
I was too shy to do so.
I am trying to find ways to break myself
of that stage fright syndrome.
I mostly sing at home and sing to my children.
It is so amazing how a song
can calm a child at night.
I grew up listening to my father and
his siblings singing and playing
music so that is where I developed the love for it.
They harmonized so well together.
You could be assured
that at every family gathering, they would
have their guitars and other instruments
in tow just so they could sing for everyone.
While I cannot play any instruments (I play a little
piano and clarinet), I love to harmonize
and sing and learned how to do this
from my father's family.
Thank You Jesus for the gift of singing.

The Lord gave me a blessed gift in 1993...
My Husband Mark.
While we did not get married in 1993,
we did meet in '93 and it was a piece
of my life that I am very greatful for.
I remember after we met that we walked around
the campus of the college for quite a while.
We ended up sitting down in
the beautiful gazeebo where we talked to each other
(It was also our first kiss but I won't go there..LOL).
Although things did not work out
for us while in school, God brought us
back together later in 1994.
You can learn more about us on the
Mr. & Mrs. Rheal page.

I have to say thank you, also, to God
for the friends I have made over the years.
Maybe I have not always been the easiest person to get along with
but I have to say that my friends do mean a lot to me.
So to all of my friends
out there, thank you for putting up with me!

For now I will leave with a few pictures.

Thanks for visiting and come back again soon!
