The Orcs are nature's humanoid cockroach. Wherever they go, they adapt quickly at a genetic level to their environment. After only one generation, an Orc is adapted to it's particular climate and terrain. This would make the Orcs the most prolific race on the planet, if it weren't for their terrible reputation as monsters and savages. Many human races actively hunt orcs for sport, and many more attack them on sight.
Thus, their numbers dwindle - but wherever there is an orcish litter, the beasts develop fully adapted to their climes.
PSYCHOLOGY: The Orc lives a short and brutal life - and if it has lived long, it is to be feared. All love is driven out of the orc at an early age - they are thrust from being born into adulthood in most tribes.
HISTORY:
Their reputation throughout history as raiders and rapers has not served them well, as they are often exterminated on sight. The elves and dwarves both hold a certain enmity against them, as even these reclusive peoples have been known scale massive combats in human lands where it is known large camps of orcs dwell.
EVOLUTION:
The Orcs are seperated by many tribes, though most speak the same debased form of the human common tongue. These tribes, as a basic kit, are detailed below.
