Description:

Half-Vampires are usually minions of a stronger vampiric dominator. Caught in a state between life and death, they serve stronger entities in hopes of becoming a full fledged vampire. While extremely powerful by normal standards, Half-Vampires are still mostly mortal. They are not affected by Sunlight.

While they are not yet nocturnal predetors, they are fast on their way to becoming one. The Half-Vampire will appear as a normal, if not sickly human, despite his/her high racial HT. This is the intermediary state. A mortal sort of purgatory.


Vampires can be found all over the world - but many are drawn to the opportunities The City provides. Most of the world's vampires flock to The City.

PC'S AS HALF-VAMPIRES

PC's can play a Half-Vampire, though they will want to buy off the -40 Pt Slave Mentality, or perhaps explore the relationship they have with their Sire, or stronger vampiric dominator. This could lend itself to some interesting roleplaying opportunities. Not all Vampires treat their progeny poorly - and not all are so kind to their lesser thralls. What is your master like? Maybe s/he even helps you in a fight, or provides some financhial resources? Did your sire even tell you what you were? Did you ask for it? 

As a Half-Vampire, PC's may also add supernatural advantages or abilities that normal humans cannot, such as Psionics, Magery, or advantages like "Clinging" which allows the character to crawl up walls with their fingertips. A PC Half-Vampire may have an enemy, such as the vampire who created them that they have broken free of, or many other supernatural disadvantages that apply to vampires such as No Reflection.

As a whole, the race is quite mutanagenic, and allows for a great deal of customization. When creating a Half-Vampire, a PC must keep in mind from which human race the character was spawned - and add that template into the racial template of a Half-Vampire. Below are Advantages and Disadvantages that are legal for a Half-Vampire.
