Visitor Information

Placencia ~ Places To Stay

The Sea Spray, nice and much cheaper than the big resort places down the road. Plus, it's in the middle of town, right near some great places to eat and play pool.
The pickled parrot has good american food, pizza mainly, but make sure your ready to wait over an hour for your food. The atmosphere and people are great. Be ready have a good number of drinkd before dinner!

Getting There . . .

Take the Southern highway, follow signs to Riversdale. At Riversdale take a refreshing right at the ocean. From there, follow the road down to the end of the peninsula. The all-dirt road is passable in a 2wd vehicle, but can be rough between grading.

Z-line has twice daily runs from Belize City at 8am and 3pm, arriving in PG around 6pm and 1am. James buses depart Belize City at the Pound Yard at 7 am. The Ten hour trip cost US$11.

Air

Maya Air and Tropic Air: plane lands on short strip across the penisula just long enough for the plane to land and turn around. The road goes around the runway, which is gravel, and be sure to watch for landing planes before going around.
