#1 Fun

Masters of the Universe Unbound: this is really an eye-opener. apparently He-Man is being made ready to make his return. AWESOME new comic about his return, it's really the best artwork i've seen in many a year, and im not comparing it to Arthur Adams (back when he was Art). He is the most powerful man in the Universe! This has been revamped big time ++ Earth2025: my home away from my home away from reality ++ Gold Leader's Canteena: check this out. now who would have thought someone would have the will, time and imagination to do this stuff. ++ Sign Up For Mars!: sign up to have your name on a CD thats going to go with the next Mars Lander! The 2001 one was "lost in space" (translation: it discovered something) so sign up again so other aliens will know your name ++ Internet Movie Database: the most extensive movie site im sure. it's rad ++ Official Star Trek Page: impressive. they even have the "Klingon word of the Day", but no Next Generation stuff (so whats left?) ++ Jim'Net: he has eighties pages and pages on lots of great stuff like the old west legends! top rate ++ Murder Mystery Mansion: wow! a talking murder mystery game for WebTVers, with painted graphics. you have to see it, it's amazing. Episodes are even added often. ++ SquaredCircleTalk: this page definetly fits into the cateogory of fun! I used to love wrestling when i was a little kid, sort of had interest in the early nineties but then became disinterested. But now every so often i watch wrestling and enjoy the characters and drama, and while to me, as for everything that wasnt made in the 80s, it is not what it used to be, pages like Sergeant Hollywood's here make it fun. Navigation is the key to good webpage design and the Sarge's proves that. He has commentary on the direction the writing is taking for the wrestlers for both WWF and WCW and it's a kick indeed. Plus RealAudio radio shows webtv can hear. check it out! ++ TEQ Stratedgy Webgame: this is another webtv-compatible internet based country building/war game with thousands of players competeing to win top place. Hard to say which is better, but it's worth a try and of course it's free ++ Shawn Master's: this dude has a bunch of web-based games on his site (listed under "Strat") and for PC users it has plenty of Beta tests and downloads of games! ++ The Alternate Homepage: a fun faux start-up page for webtvers. He has basically our Home page, but modified with Classic Unit icons and links to some really hot sites. ++ Skyekel's (oof !) Trip: killer design- instructive for all those who want to make a tight webtv page! ++ Bob's Homepage: another "WebTV Perfect" accomplishment with tons of midi links, and you can add your site. You know how i love advertising :-) ++ UpThePunx: an awesome punk page, straight outta Philly! I always wondered if i would have ended up a punk- well heres a great expression of what punk life apparently is like in that part of the world. Rants on society, pictures of punks, and lots of cool links. Oi! Top rate but a little hard for WebTV to align things. ++ Jim and Alisons Webpage: Lots of funny adult gifs, funny movie shorts, ton of skin photos and links, weird links and games. Great non-racialist skinhead page- drop by!

G.I.JOE

Cobra Command: Hail COBRA! Even though the editor seems to have taken a break, there is much to enjoy! Probably the best set-up joe site i've seen yet. You must see the fanzine- it is serious business; items include interviews with cobra troops, advice for shows Cobra could run after taking over CBS (now Cobra Broadcasting System), "100 Things To Do As An Overlord" (i.e. "build ducts small enough to prevent heros from crawling through them", do not make comments of invincibility before enter my escape pod", ect. the funniest thing i've read in a while and true), and plenty more. There is the comic book history of Joe, though uncompleted it has pictures, he is or was working on bios, a cobra handbook for land, sea and air vehicles and troop divisions with pics and descripts, Tour of Cobra Island. I hope he returns to editing this thing- its really tremendous. Control Center: Easy navigation, useful site update/news table, a slide show (couldnt get my WebTV to work it), a photogallery with a smorgashborg of diverse joe phernalia (check out the real-working walkie talkies and witness the power of the nineteeneighties heh), timeline of joe figures and accessories, hilarious Joe vs Ken bit with accompanying and enlightening short stories lol, a Joe Mystery Date Game. 34 dates and counting! (and i thought i was too into my hobbies. not Myster Date mind you), which is a great way to show off your proud collection of female action figures. Not Joe specific but definetly worth a look-see, at least for the Ken bashing. Episode List: quick loading list of episodes and voice actors A Joe's Death: a very alarming story, reported on the AP wires but not published in this country! It is little suprise- its obvious who is in control of our free speech. Write your local congressman and express your outrage, if you have any decentcy! The Vehicles: a LOT of vehicle photos with reviews from the '82-'90 era of Joe, and check out the cool messageboard set up. Cobra Strike '83 Cart Guide: a fan created manual to the Atari 2600 game! Its pretty detailed and worth reading Stars & Stripes Forever: great portraits, and here is something original= there are 4 prewritten missions. You can pick one, select joes to send on it and list objectives. Visitors decide and write up the results for your mission! Also many awesome filecard descripts of joes and foes, and character & vehicle list. H.Q. The Dutch Collectors Site: well for a start their is a site search engine ("Zoekengine"), but i have about as much luck with the English as i do the Dutch. Now- there is a great site map (i think i could learn a little Dutch, looks a lot easier then German!), high definition blow by blow pic and narrative of the Joe movie (really good and you can follow it), there are reviews for what seems like most or all of the episodes; some with more extensive reviews (all in Dutch) with sharp and rich (DVD?) photos and even zipped video clips!, dossiers of figures, fantastic vehicle list with pics ("Voertuigen"), and just about everything you can think of! I could go for some chocolate right about now. Yesterday Land's: complete cast of characters with the actors right on the first screen, and pages and pages of "memories" by visitors. The best part of yesterland i have to say is its section for 80s arcade games! You can per-view games like Spy Hunter and Operation Wolf with four screen shots and a small photo of the cabinets. Garland's TerrorDrom: lots of stuff here, although this sadly, like Zartan's Domain was defunct before i ever knew yee. Among the places to visit here: Cobra University which includes a section for a long list of cobra specializations with explanations provided by Drednaught Buzzer, a page on how to advance in an actual (though possibly defunt) web-based Cobra Organization which is mostly for joe diehards/webmasters, special guests Cobra Commander, Viper Kelsey Grammar (i suspected as much), Chief TechnoViper Forge and others present important requirements for initiation; good descriptions of many different kinds of Viper troopers, and a very informative though short biographical database on my characters basically round it off. General Hawk's Page: wow! you MUST see this one- if you have gathered some knowledge on the joe cartoon/comic or have visited some of the others that cover that material your next stop is here- where the action is. Updated frequently, it includes complete pic and descript for the '00 remodel/relaunch of the good old mid 80s characters ( i think they made a new one too), and vehicles! The "toy" makers didnt screw the people over this time. General Hawk makes homemade figures like a mad man, there are tons of them, they kick butt and totally original. He's working on profiles, and the creme de la creme of all diehard workmanship- an awesome as hell super-long Joe fanfic entitled "Price of Peace". I havent started on it yet but i have to imagine it's a crowning achievement, after all he actually finished it and even has a spin off story. Amazing. Airtight's Hostile Enviroment: easily the most professional looking site for this particular cateogory, as the webmaster is going to school for basically this sort of purpose. There is a section for South Park-esque cartoons staring the characters- even if your not into that show its still something else. There is a special section for the joe Airtight of course, whats probably the best priceguide on the net with thoughts on each year and some pictures, informative news section, scores of fantastic selfmade images (better then you think!), and a more then respectable library of fanfic. Nice and easy to navigate as well! Gonzo's Garrison: wonderful site. Check this out to read an article on the public reaction to the new joes coming off the line (hurrah! buy me one?), a fanmade comic (great artwork though you cant read the words), a terrific collection of fan art (i especially appreciated the Oktober Guard which always fascinated me) and top rung fanfic with links to MORE libraries, and to end it a live action fantasy casting call for the movie. Funny, but if Lady Jaye aint in it i will hold a boycott, soon as i see it. Grand Slam's Landing Pag: Here you will find the complete price guide for every fingure and accessory! Most guides do not include the latter and he didnt leave our the (in my opinion) hideous series made in the 90s. He has placed his fanfic here as well, and it is a large amount that intertwines with eachother- a smart idea. There are also some effecient filecard classifications. Very well done. Scarlett's G.I.Joe Campaign: click here to find out how you can get the show rerunning on the Cartoon Network, also has updated news and good links. Terrordrome Level 5 The Dr.Mindbender Scullery: dedicated to the real mastermind behind Cobra. You can see and read everything relevent about this mystery mad doctor, including the two figure (and second being a piece of 90s junk), there are some great pictures too. The webmaster admits his site could use more- but a lot depends on the enthusiasm of visitors more then most people think ;-) The Furthur Adventures: a branch on the much larger gijoecartoon.tvheaven.com super site, there is so much fanfic in here that i am perplexed. Obviously we must have future material about this phenomena in the future- there are too many fanatics! Lot of adult content in a lot of these stories but thats writers perogative of course lol. It just goes on and on- must be more then a four hundred. The Bivouac!: Joe Diorama heaven! There are, besides what seems like 200 costume figures, 3 diorama stories, the latest being a 20 parter by a guy using Adobe Paintshop- you have to see this thing! There are also costume VEHICLES, a massive messageboard (i.e. the mainboard area has 526 topics, 4076 posts), a costumizing guide, a righteous links section, site info and something called Custom Projects that i will let you find out for yourself! YoJoe.com Quick Kick's Theatre JMM's Joe Comics The Ultimate G.I. Joe Site: Last but certainly not least (its my favorite one). There is an Episode Summary of every single show, Images for episodes (lot of them!), Roll Call for characters, 6 Interviews with writers, the storyboard director, and voice actor Mary McDonald Lewis- this is especially impressive and gives a priceless look at the important inner workings of the series. List of all the Endings (you know the "Knowledge is half the battle!" parts), which a lot of people make fun of, but i think they are a great idea. Some good fanfic, Credits for all the people behind the cartoon (impressive), an informative FAQ, lots of links, an awesome Sound Area with lots of character WAVS (i.e. "I know someone I'D like to put in a wheelchair"), sound effects, theme songs, music, and to top it off a Feature Gallery up great WAVS. For instance, as of this writing WAVS (with photos) of the G.I.Joe movie is featured. Awesome.
