2007 Field Day:
On Saturday, June 23, 2007, thousands of ham radio operators across the country displayed their emergency communications capabilities during the annual Field Day sponsored by the ARRL (American Radio Relay League).
Members of the PVR Amateur Radio Club gathered at a selected site to participate in FD where operators made as many radio contacts, using various bands and modes, with hams at similar sites in other states for a 24-hour period.
For the first time experience, PVR did very well, making more than 200 radio contacts.

FD '07 - A Great Experience!
Sometimes when activated to go to a site for Storm Spotting, hazardous weather isn't the only hazard ham radio operators might meet. Just ask Roger, KC9HHH, about his encounter with a common Wisconsin hazard ... whitetail deer!
