As for the woman, after she entered the tomb with her maid, she was never seen again by outsiders. It is said that her maid took in two pupils, the older girl called Li Mo Chou (Serpent Deity) and the younger one known only as Long. The Li girl soon left the tomb and broke away from her master. It was she who spread the false rumors that when her kung fu sister, Long, turns 18, a contest would be held and the winner would become her husband.
The day that Guo Jing and Yang Guo arrive in Zhong Nan Mountain is the day that the Ancient Tomb Sect heiress, Xiao Long Nuu (Dragon Girl) turns 18. Huo Du, the prince of Mongolia, has sent his army there to fight for her hand in marriage. Realizing their evil intentions, Guo Jing asks Master Qui to give him the honor of fighting the prince. The All True Sect leader agrees, provided that the temple remains unstained by the Mongolian's blood. To accomplish this, Guo Jing uses his Eight Dragon Palm technique and deafeats Huo Du. But the Mongolian Prince is relentless and persistent. He marches on with his army towards the Ancient Tomb, intending to forcefully enter it.
The tomb was designed by Wong Chong Yang as a fortress and is filled with all sorts of traps and dangers. As the Mongolians enter, a swarm of poisonous jade bees flies out and attacks them, driving them away. During the commotion, Yang Guo sneaks into the tomb and catches a glimpse of a beautiful but pale-looking girl playing a zither. Noticing his presence, the girl turns to look at him and his blood seems to freeze at the coldness of her stare. Just then, Guo Jing calls for his young ward. Yang Guo all but runs to his side in his haste to get away from the frigheningly cold beauty of the strange girl.
They set out once more to Chong Yang Palace to try to get Master Qui to accept the boy as a pupil. Guo Jing tells the old man that the boy is the son of his sworn brother, Yang Kang. At this, Master Qui begins to look at the boy in a new light.#
