| Guo Jing is the sworn brother of Yang Kang, Yang Guo's father and as such, he feels responsible for the young man's upbringing. When his wife, Huang Rong, the leader of Beggar Sect Kung Fu, refuses to teach Yang Guo, he is forced to take him to his former teacher, Qui Qian Ji, one of the All True Sect Kung Fu (Quan Zhen) elders. |
| He leaves Chong Yang Palace secure in the knowledge that his young ward is in good hands with his Taoist brothers but he is sadly mistaken. He learns later from the Taoists that Yang Guo has denounced All True Sect and is involved in a scandalous affair with his kung fu master, Xiao Long Nuu (Dragon Girl), the heiress of Ancient Tomb Sect Kung Fu (Gumu Bai). His confrontation with Yang Guo about this matter creates a significant rift in his relationship with his surrogate nephew. |
