Jinlun Fawang (Gold Wheel Abbot) bears the title of Living Buddha of Tibet. He is a Tibetan monk who serves Mongolia as Defense Master. His trademark gold wheels are a force to reckon with.
Jinlun Fawang has many disciples. His most senior one is the giant Tibetan monk named Da Er Ba. The second disciple is prince Huo Du of Mongolia.

Jinlun Fawang first meets Yang Guo at Da Shen Guan when all the heroes are summoned by Huang Rong, the leader of Beggar Sect Kung Fu. At this gathering, the heroes of South Song try to appoint a leader of the wulin world. The monk covets the position because he knows that the South Song citizens won't be able to fight the Mongolians if they have noone to lead them.

     He is later defeated by
Yang Guo and Xiao Long Nuu in their combined Maiden's Sutra technique.
