I was an advertising executive working for agencies such as Young & Rubicam and Publicis when I had the chance to work for Compaq’s PR agency in Germany in 1996. I was looking for a change of perspective, so I jumped at the chance and stayed at Compaq for a few years. After that, I started my own PR business focusing on high tech before joining OnPR in 2007. I like PR because it blends some aspects of journalism with business, marketing and advertising skills and it provides third-party validation that paid advertising cannot buy. Getting journalists interested in picking up a story is very rewarding for both the client and the agency. These every day successes are real highlights.

Some of my career highlights include working for Compaq during the exiting and sometimes difficult times of the Tandem and Digital integration. We really had to roll up our sleeves to communicate stories internally and externally, including the launch of three different companies’ magazines for different target groups. Another highlight was at OnPR when I had the opportunity to launch TechSmith in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, garnering journalists’ interest and creating significant credibility and awareness.

I’ve worked for companies such as AdMob, Citrix, Compaq, Echelon, MXI Security, Novell, Siemens, and TechSmith.

I enjoy working at OnPR because of the interesting mix of international clients that keep me on my toes and ensure that I am always close to the pulse of new technologies. And I am very grateful to work with a wonderful team of colleagues who share their deep knowledge and experience at any time: sometimes even in the middle of the night!
