I fell into PR when I worked at Pacific Northwest Ballet in my early twenties.  As my career progressed, I gained a strong appreciation for PR because I enjoyed the intellectual stimulation and related interesting challenges of working with top executives at client companies.

Some of my PR career highlights include:1) As a senior vice president at DDB Worldwide Communication, conducting business press tours with the CEOs of RealNetworks, Avenue A and InfoSpace and others during key business events for the companies. Securing related coverage in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Fast Company, CBS MarketWatch and CNNfn among many others;  2)  While an account supervisor at Waggener Edstrom, planning and implementing unrelenting competitive press work for Microsoft Word, which contributed significantly to making it the leading word processor over the formerly strong WordPerfect, and 3) When I had my own business, generating significant media awareness and coverage of the Holland America Line’s newly enhanced private island, as well as the North American arrival of the line’s newest ship, the ms Westerdam. As part of this project, hosting 40 travel press and their guests on a 3-day cruise. 

Some of the companies I’ve worked with are Microsoft, RealNetworks, aQuantive (formerly Avenue A), Classmates.com, InfoSpace, Kiss.com, Digeo, Washington Mutual, Holland America Line, QL2, SourceLabs, GotVoice, Mpire, SeaMobile, Seagate Software, Software AG and many others.

It’s exciting to be at OnPR and have the opportunity to build the agency’s presence in the Seattle area.   I enjoy collaborating with the other veteran PR professionals at OnPR to ensure that our client companies are using PR to optimize their business gains.
