| 9F21 Homer's Barbershop Quartet 30 Sep 1993 While flipping through records at a flea market, Bart and Lisa discover an album by the Be Sharps, a barbershop quartet comprised of Homer, Barney, Apu and Principal Skinner. As Homer recounts the story, it is clear that the Be Sharps saga is a classic tale of four men who rise to the top of the entertainment business, only to find that the demands of fame and success destroy their friendships and strain their love for their art. After telling his kids all about the band, Homer gets nostalgic and the Be Sharps reunite for one last concert on the roof of Moe's Tavern. Guest starring George Harrison and David Crosby 9F22 Cape Feare 07 Oct 1993 Bart begins receiving threatening letters from Sideshow Bob. When Bob is released from prison, Bart is terrified of being killed by the sociopathic former sidekick. To protect Bart, the entire Simpson family undergoes Witness Relocation and moves to a houseboat docked on the aptly named Terror Lake, just outside of Springfield. Bob tracks them down, ties up Homer, Marge, and Lisa, and tries to kill Bart. Bart outsmarts Sideshow Bob by asking him to sing the entire score to The H.M.S. Pinafore, thereby buying enough time to trap him in the mud beside a brothel where Chief Wiggum and other Springfield Police Department officers just happen to be spending some off-time. 1F02 Homer Goes to College 14 Oct 1993 When it is revealed that Homer is grossly unqualified to be a safety inspector at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, he goes to Springfield University to study nuclear physics. While there, Homer befriends a group of nerds and encourages them to steal a rival school's mascot pig. The prank backfires, getting the nerds expelled. In attempt to get them reinstated, Homer devises another brilliant prank. This one lands their dean in traction, but when Homer comes clean about the first prank, the nerds are once again allowed back on campus. And it's just in time, too, since finals are coming up. After a marathon study session, Homer still flunks nuclear physics, but his new friends hack into the school computer and change his grade to an "A". 1F01 Rosebud 21 Oct 1993 When Mr. Burns was very young, he gave up his teddy bear, Bobo, for a life of riches. Now growing old, he desires for his teddy bear, which Maggie loves dearly. Guest starring The Ramones 1F04 Treehouse of Horror IV 28 Oct 1993 In a Night Gallery parody (Fright Gallery), Bart presents three tales of terror: The Devil and Homer Simpson: Homer sells his soul to the devil (played by Ned Flanders) for a doughnut. When the devil wants to uphold Homer's side of the bargain, it's up to Marge and Lisa to argue why Homer's soul shouldn't be sucked into hell for all eternity. Terror at 5 1/2 Feet: Bart has a nightmare about the school bus crashing that might just be coming true the next day during his commute. Bart spies a goblin on the side of the bus that could cause a crash, but no one believes him until it may be too late. Bart Simpson's Dracula: Mr. Burns invites the Simpson family over to his castle for dinner where he bites Bart, turning him into a vampire. As Bart and his newly minted vampire friends wreak havoc, Lisa enlists Homer to kill Mr. Burns, the head vampire. When Homer drives a stake through Burns' heart (after some near misses and some outright bad aim), Lisa realizes that Burns wasn't the head vampire and that there's still the mother of all bloodsuckers to dispatch. 1F03 Marge on the Lam 04 Nov 1993 When Homer fails to show up, Marge decides to go to the ballet with Ruth Powers, the next door neighbor. Ruth returns the favour and takes Marge out the next night. Unbeknown to Marge, Ruth is driving a stolen car. Guest starring Pamela Reed as Ruth Powers and George Fenneman as the narrator 1F05 Bart's Inner Child 11 Nov 1993 Bart accidentally has the entire town emulating his actions, thanks to a feel-good therapist. Guest starring Albert Brooks as Brad Goodman and James Brown 1F06 Boy-Scoutz N the Hood 11 Nov 1993 Experimenting with a dangerous all-syrup Squishee, Bart and Milhouse get loopy and run around Springfield singing and having adventures. Waking up with a massive Squishee hangover, Bart remembers that he enlisted in the Junior Campers, the dweebiest after-school program in the world. Bart is prepared to quit the group, but decides to stay when group leader Ned Flanders leads a lesson on using a pocketknife. Bart becomes entranced by Junior Camping, attending meetings and becoming an expert at tying knots. When it comes time for the annual Junior Campers' father and son rafting trip, Bart is too embarrassed of Homer to invite him along. Homer comes anyway, and his terrible navigation and rowing skills land Bart, Ned and Todd way up a creak with no way home. Luckily, Homer saves the day when he's able to smell out a nearby Krusty Burger franchise. Guest starring Ernest Borgnine 1F07 The Last Temptation of Homer 09 Dec 1993 Homer falls in love with a new female employee at the nuclear plant who is just like Homer. Homer, however, feels guilty. Guest starring Michelle Pfeiffer as Mindy Simmons 1F08 $pringfield (or, How I learned to stop worrying and love 16 Dec 1993 legalized gambling) When the local economy stalls, everyone, including Marge, votes to legalize gambling on Springfield. Mr. Burns even opens up his own casino, Homer gets to be a blackjack dealer, and Marge is addicted to the slot machines. Guest starring Robert Goulet and Gerry Cooney 1F09 Homer the Vigilante 06 Jan 1994 When a cat burglar hits Springfield, Homer vows to fight back. Guest starring Sam Neil 1F11 Bart Gets Famous 03 Feb 1994 After escaping from a field trip to a cardboard factory, Bart sneaks into the Krusty the Klown show, and becomes his assistant. However, Bart is launched into instant stardom after accidentally wrecking a set on live TV and uttering, 'I didn't do it.' Guest starring Conan O'Brien 1F10 Homer and Apu 10 Feb 1994 After getting food poisoning from eating the Kwik-E-Mart food, Homer gets Apu, the Kwik-E-Mart employee, fired. Regretting his actions, Homer vows to get Apu his job back. Guest starring James Wood 1F12 Lisa vs. Malibu Stacey 17 Feb 1994 After objecting to the voice disk used on her new talking Malibu Stacy doll that demeans women, Lisa find the creator and they produce a new doll that reflects the 90s. Guest starring Kathleen Turner 1F13 Deep Space Homer 24 Feb 1994 After seeing their ratings decline, NASA decides to send Joe Average to space. In this case, Joe Average is Homer Simpson. Guest starring James Taylor and Buzz Aldrin 1F14 Homer Loves Flanders 17 Mar 1994 After Ned Flanders give a ticket to Homer for a much-hyped football game, Homer becomes Ned's best friend. 1F15 Bart Gets an Elephant 31 Mar 1994 When 'KBBL is going to give me something stupid', Bart forgoes the $10,000 cash price for an elephant. Problem is, the elephant is causing some major problems. 1F16 Burns' Heir 14 Apr 1994 Nearly drowning in the bathtub, Mr. Burns decides to find an heir. He sees it in the form of Bart Simpson and coerces the young Simpson into staying with him. 1F20 Secrets of a Succesful Marriage 19 Apr 1993 Worrying about being slow, Homer decides to teach a marriage course. Unfortunately, he doesn't succeed as a teacher until he starts spilling some of Marge's personal secrets. 1F18 Sweet Seymour Skinner's Baadasssss Song 27 Apr 1994 Bart brings the family dog to school for Show and Tell, unfortunately the dog escapes and indirectly gets Principal Skinner fired. School life under Principal Flanders just isn't the same and Bart schemes to get Skinner back. The Simpsons 100th episode 1F19 The Boy Who Knew Too Much 05 May 1994 Bart skips class and witnesses a waiter brutally beaten. The Mayor's nephew is blamed, but Bart can clear him -- however it would mean coming clean about skipping class. 1F21 Lady Bouvier's Lover 12 May 1994 Grampa Simpson falls in love with Marge's mother, Jackie, but Mr. Burns woos her away from him. Grampa is broken hearted when learning Jackie is going to marry Burns. 1F20 Secrets of a Successful Marriage 19 May 1994 Somehow Homer comes to teach an adult education class on how to have a successful marriage. Even stranger, he turns out to be pretty good at it, dispensing homespun advice that his students find useful. He also dispenses quite a bit of personal information and gossip about his marriage to Marge, which causes his better half to go half-crazy. Homer apologizes but can't seem to stop airing their dirty laundry in class. Marge kicks Homer out and he begins sleeping in Bart's treehouse. Under these conditions, Homer begins to degenerate. After listening to her husband apologize profusely, Marge realizes that Homer needs her more than anyone else in the world and accepts him back. |
