10/06/05                                   Marvelous Mini-Polling
Wasn't that last P, TS miniature-poll simply spectacular?  I mean, it just lasted for months and months.  But of course, what we are all interested in: the results!  They were quite boring, actually, nearly constituting a four way tie for first place in a poll with only four options.  When asked the question, 'Which is your favourite fully futuristic episode of The Simpsons?' we had in first, both Lisa's Wedding and Bart of the Future with 27 % of the votes, that is to say, eight votes each.  Tied for second were Future-Drama and any episode that P, TS may have forgot with 23 % of the votes, or seven votes each.

10/05/05                   Announcing My Fabulous Return!
Good day to all of you Simpson's fans out there!  I have returned to this site.  Well, admittably, I never left, I just haven't been updating the news feature.  None the less: the news.  It would seem that there will not be anymore new Simpsons episodes during the month of October, as they have all been preempted in favour of World Series baseball -Whoo hoo!  Not.

Two new episodes of the Simpsons will be airing May 1, 8, and 15!  To pick up the slack for airing so few episodes earlier in the season, double features of The Simpsons will air all through the month of May, ending with The Season Finale,  The Girl Who Slept Too Little, at 8:30 on Sunday, May 15.  Check out the Episode Guide for more info!

02/25/05                                        Mmmm . . .  Budget
Budget day has come and gone in Canada, and once again no money has been allocated for Simpsons related programs.  It was not so disappointing this year as it was expected.  Well, Simpsons, yes, goody.

01/22/05                    Hey Look At That, He Isn't Dead
Well, my multitude of friends, I'm back.  I never really left, though . . .  I would check out the guestbook once or twice a month and today was actually the second this January.  To my amazement a guestbook entry was recorded not even twenty minutes before my arrival.  I've had several entries over the last few months but they we're all from the same crackpot - this one however, was different.  And so you will find that the Season 16 information page is completely up to date and a new Season 17 has been page added.  Sometimes you just need the right motivation . . . or motivator.  Either way I hope you will find the site more to your liking and enjoyment.
Additionally, I am aware that this is a Friday night and that I am spending my time updating a website on this particular evening.  Wandering thoughts may stray to the idea that I have been unavailable or predisposed on previous Friday evenings.  Generally these ideas would be very far from the truth as in actuality my Friday evenings often only consist of watching CBC Friday Night Comedy and nothing more gratuitous than that.  This is much to my dismay, even if it is to your joy.
Finally, I have also noticed that so few people visit this site that I could go on and on about the manual excitation of the human sex organs and noone would care. I have however, decided against this.

For all of those of you with the vote on June 28th I encourage you to choose the Canada you want.  Ours is a country to be proud of, from sea to sea to sea we stand as a shining example to the rest of the world as a democratic and free nation - one which many have fought and died for.  You must not take the vote for granted, speak up on election day and let your Canada grow

Fox released season four of the Simpsons on DVD last week and reviews are high.  HMV is offering special deals when more than one season of The Simpsons is bought for those wishing to expand their collection.  Future Shop comes out on top for pricing when season four is bought alone, one dollar less than top competitor, Wal-Mart

I'm back!  After a prolonged struggle with my internet connection it would seem the problem is solved and I may continue with updates . . . and there are many.  Check out the season 15 and 16 pages for several new episodes and airdates.  As well, the fourth season of The Simpsons will be out on DVD June 15.  No new episodes for a couple of weeks, disappointing news seeing as how the season is wearing down.

03/11/04                           P, TS Brings Home The Gold

Presenting, The Simpsons is a proud winner of the prestige
Golden Web Award.  P, TS recieved notice of its win in a surprising email today.
"I never thought it possible!" the site's creator was quoted saying today in respect to P, TS' win.
The award will be proudly displayed on P, TS' home page all year.  Nominated a couple of months ago,     P, TS hopes to be nominated again next year

03/06/04    Do You Know What He Does? He Flip-Flops

In a huge turn of events (well, maybe a little turn), the new episode of the Simpsons on March 14th will be "The Ziff Who Came to Dinner," and not, "The Wandering Juvie."  It would seem Artie will be moving in with the Simpsons . . .
Click here to visit the Season 15 Info Page for more details.

03/01/04                         And You Thought It'd Be New

Once again this Sunday fans will be denied a fresh episode of The Simpsons.  FOX plans to air
Marge vs. Singles, Seniors, Childless Couples and Teens, and Gays on March 7th.  Fear not though, March 14th will send you to Juvenile Hall along with Bart, where he meets a bad girl named Gina who helps him to escape.  Guest starring Sarah Michelle Gellar this new episode is a promising one.

02/22/04               P, TS' Favourite Episode Announce
d Attention Simpsons fans.  Long awaited has this announcement been, as a preview to the lists page of P, TS I am announcing my favourite episode of all time . . . (drum roll, if you please) "Last Exit to Springfield!"
After much consideration I decided that this episode is an example of absolute perfection in Simpsons writing.  Beautiful, it nearly brings me to tears when I think of how much laughter and enjoyment I get out of seeing Homer lead his union into battle against Mr. Burns to recover their dental plan.  The episode is filled with well placed puns, popular references (like Mr. Burns imitating the Grinch) and of course Lisa's strike song - followed b
y Classical Gas, as requested by Lenny.

02/10/04                Second Half of Season Stirs Up P,T
S
That's right - I've been stirred.  The line up of episodes for the coming half season are catching my eye and coincidently yours.  A new episode revolving around Milhouse moving to Capitol city this coming Sunday is a promising one for sure and the weekend after that will feature Simon Cowell.  The newest two bits of info are on a future episode entitled "Simple Simpson" that may parody FOX's the Simple Life.  Keep checking back to P,TS for updates on the rest of the season and sneak peaks at Season 1
6.

02/02/04                                     Puxatony Phil Divide
d
The little groundhog took little time in determining the fate of the eastern United States when he proclaimed six more weeks of winter this morning, but was divided in respects to the Superbowl win.  Quoted saying, "Squeak, sniff sniff," Phil was obviously unsure of which team to cheer for.  Personally, I say "Yay" to the win.  Why?  Well, there can be no better reason than The Simpsons.  With another professional American football season out of the way, this February promises to be a great month for Simpson fanfare.  I am not only impressed by the line up of upcoming episodes but by the increased spending on The Simpsons advertising on FOX, promising us all a great month for the show.  So I say, pull up the remote, sit back and relax fo

Allow us to be the first Simpsons site to congratulate NASA and the Jet Propulsion Lab team on successfully landing the Mars rover

By the way, if you see another Simpsons' site that beat Presenting, The Simpsons to giving its congratulations to the JPL, email me.  I don't wish to gloat falsel

01/25/04                    The Simpsons Pre-empted, Agai
n
Good evening.  Another delightful new episode of The Simpsons is over and I need only wait another week for my next dose.  Oh, no . . . hold on, another two weeks?!  That's right, FOX is airin
g Independance Day on Groundhog Eve.  What bothers me even more than not getting my weekly dose of new Simpsons is that they chose that movie.  Couldn't they have chosen a more festive, more season appropriate movie like Groundhog Day?  Apparently not.  They would rather give us two hours of death and destruction rather than the humourous antics of a TV weatherman and a hibernating rodent.  It just makes me sick.

01/19/04                    Report Handed Back; Week Fre
e
It's six o'clock; do you know where your children are?  I'm sitting here trying to decide which Simpsons to watch.  FOX Rochester is showing that Halloween episode with Hugo, and OMNI 1 out of Toronto is showing the pool episode.
I decided on the pool episode - I got the idea when I discovered that the fridge is cold.  Entertained as I'm sure you are about my activities, I'd like to continue.  I'm going to have a bit of extra time this week what with exams coming up and all; it's not like I can study all of the time.  I should like to finish the Episode Guide and Lists pages by the end of the weekend, more popularly known as the weekend.
'Tis fine website in English, but 'tis no poo

01/16/04                 Report Handed In; Weekend Fre
e
It's nearly midnight, so I wasn't sure what I would put the date down as . . . I chose Friday.  Speaking of Friday, I handed in my big report today and so was awarded with a weekend off from work - if you don't include studying for exams.  Hoh hoh!  Well, I hope to complete the transfer of Presenting, The Simpsons to its new address and finish the all new Lists page I announced was in production last weekend.  All of the Episode Guide has been transfered to the new site, and kitty_cat_canada has nearly been stripped clean.
If I don't achieve my goals in the next two days, I will certainly have enough time in the coming weeks to do them.  Contrary to popular belief, I think the exam schedule to be relaxed and this whole end of semester thing like a holiday.  Check back for updates soon, and remember that The Simpsons is postponed this week.  Bonne fin de semain

Well, here I am twidling my thumbs (and fingers) away at the keyboard when I really should be studying for my upcoming exams, or writing that five page report that's due this week.  Oh well, it's to your benefit.  Upon request, I will be creating a new list page that will be composed of various lists of information - er, obviously. None the less, topics of this new feature will range from my top twenty favourite episodes to which episodes parody "2001: A Space Odysse
y"

01/06/2004                              Ah?  What is this Crap
?
In a sad but hardly unpredictable turn of events, FOX Broadcasting (down three-tenths today) will pre-empt The Simpsons Sunday, January 18th, replacing it with the NFC football championship.  Hopefully, a new episode will return the following Sunday, but there is no promise yet.  As for this Sunday
, I, D'oh-bot is scheduled to air at eight o'clock but it could also be pre-empted if this week's game goes overtime.

01/01/2004                                         A New Year Be
er
I want to wish all a happy and prosperous new year.  I love Christmas the most, but New Year's morning is something that I have always cherished.  You wake up to that fresh, crisp winter dawn and look out the window.  The same cars are parked in your driveway; the same lawn is at your doorstep, but somehow the world is an entirely new place.  Old troubles of the past year are forgot and you are given a new, clean slate of life to work with for the new year.  Your shoulders' burdens are lightened, you stretch and go do life's everyday things as if for the first time.
In the world of The Simpsons I like to consider what will come in the new year.  The other day I was at the Ottawa ByWard Market and visited the Sugar Mountain Candy store with some friends.  While my companions ravaged the store in search of their favourite sweet treats, I meandered about looking with awe at the various candy related products.  I came across the usual Jesus dolls, and Moses action figures (which, by the way, come with the two tablets) and then was forced to stop by an unexpected marvel.  There it was, low and behold, a Duff beer can.  Likely commonplace in many toy stores, I rarely see Simpsons' items in the stores I visit and so was awe struck, and unable to move.  After completing their spending spree, one of my female comrades dragged me out the door, not to return for some time I suppose.
It got me thinking though, of other Simpsons merchandise unheard of recently - The Simpsons Fourth Season DVD Box Set.  I did a little research, a bit of digging, and discovered to my horror that FOX isnt even working on it!  According to Amazon.com, The studio is currently not producing this title on DVD.
This information arises fears that a DVD box set wont be released in 2004.  Once a year was hard enough on Simpsons fans but even fewer could be disastrous for the company.  At this rate, it may take twenty or more years to release the entire series and after its finish, DVD sales will likely plummet as interest in The Simpsons declines.
I would be interested in letting this topic continue on P,TS and will dedicate a new section of this site to it if you wish.  Put your thoughts and opinions on the matter in the guestbook.  Also visi
t The Simpsons Complete Fourth Season page at Amazon.com and join the vote (sent to the studio) to get them working on the box set!
     And again, Happy New Year!
