Wizards and Warriors Role Playing Game
Make suggestions to Matt not negative remarks. Matt loves
hearing people talk about his RPG; it makes him want to play. You can make bets
with gold with Matt if he thinks he will win, Don’t do things like, “Matt will
you give me 50 gold if I throw this rock 100 yards.” What happens if you don’t?
Being nice will not get you something because it isn’t a give get world but if
you take you will get taken from even more. Giving is a step towards getting
and taking is a step towards losing. Doing a mission or quest for free seems
like a major lose but Matt will see if you did it to give or get, and if it was
to give and lose from what you already have you will receive Character points
and maybe your armor will last longer…
Talking:
Say what you want to say but don’t say your saying it that way only have your
character say it…
In others words, it is best to tell the GM what message you want your charcter
to declare in his or her own words. For example player says this, “I tell this
guy to leave me alone”
Or this for example, “I want to tell this guy there is no easy way to learn
magic real quick”
Pretending you know something… that something may come true, if it doesn’t
contradict something Matt has already made up and exists in a basis. Example:
Joe said to the Bartender, “Have you heard about the Sirpitine cave?” “Yea, I
think it belongs to Adomic, why?” “Because I want to know where it is?” Joe
made up the Sirpitine cave and you could pretend there is a Bogua Troll near
Les Ves and go ask if there is a reward on his death. Just don’t make up
something like the Gold Cave because Matt well make it so there is no Gold in
it only deadly traps.
Watch your endurance. Higher attacks use higher endurance. Constantly ask the
game master where your endurance bar is. Once it hits 0 it’s not a pretty
picture. Your stunned for 2 turns, and that’s not the attack stun. You can’t
move or use any option of opportunity, as well your defense has a –4 from sword
and typical weapon attacks, -6 from long weapons, and –2 from short weapons.
Attack, Defense, and other strange battle techniques…
OK, Are things getting a little confusing? Well maybe this will clear it up a
little. This is how your attack and Defense are formed.
Capital letters mean the Major additions
Attack = Strength + Weapon (if you are proficient with it) + Skill with weapon
+ charge attack + item or magical bonus + size bonus + surroundings bonus.
Defense = Dexterity + Armor + item and magical bonus + better defense + Shields
+ size bonus + surrounding bonus.
For your attack
1. Strength usually makes a good portion of your attack (when D20< +1 hp to
strikes)
2. Weapon adds a little but is more important in the damage capability. (If you
are not proficient with your weapon then you suffer –4 to attack and certain
penalties to defense, depends on enemy’s weapon)
3. Skill with weapon makes usually the largest portion of your attack. (But you
need the weapon in order to add this skill)
4. All the others minor additions (like +2 to side attack); and charge attack
which you can minus as much of defense as you wish up to D4.
For your defense, there are basically four things you can modify.
1. Dexterity adds to defense as well makes up for any other feat of dexterity
2. Enchanted Items or magic can benefit you slightly. Such include Ring of
Adaptation or the magic “defense”.
3. Armor is one of the greatest because dexterity and better defense don’t
exist if you can’t see you opponent. In other words your defense = D4 + Armor
(there is no D4 if character unconscious)
4. Shields are a nice thing too, though they minus ½ you strength and prohibit
you from using 2-handed weapons (Staffs, Bows, War hammers, Two-Handed swords)
What does size have to do with attack and defense? What is Charge attack and
Better Defense? Go here Character Level
What does surroundings have to do with Attack and Defense?
Well, lets say you are on a slope of a hill and you are fighting on enemy. If
you are uphill from you enemy you less afraid of falling and therefore can
attack harder while your opponent well be more afraid of falling backwards.
Skill Points and Feats
What the heck are skill points and feats? Skill points raise skills and
character points raise attributes. The attributes are your character, they make
up your mind, body, a soul (well…). Skills are learned or also known as an
advancement in a specific task. My favorite example is “Breaking doors.” Though
strength is your character’s attribute that is used, you can have better
techniques or ideas on how to break a door…thereby a skill in “Breaking doors.”
Feats will either give your character a new ability or advance one. Usually
when I have a penalty for something a feat would disable that penalty. (For
info on the skills when, where, and how much?) go to Character Levels.
Rules of the game.
Speed, a very confusing topic indeed.
Is speed how fast my guy moves?
Yes, in a simplistic form. In WWRPG 1 space usually equals 1.8 meters…usually.
The point of speed is to show how fast your character can analysis something
and move through it.

A space may equal 1 meter when going through a real swampy terrain or even 1/4
of a meter in a rough ocean while swimming. The normal idea is that on a flat
smooth ground your speed (x) times .675 equals your max velocity in Miles per
hour.
Example. Speed = 8 Max velocity while running on flat grass land = 8 * .675 =
5.4 mph which isn’t a very fast character as you can imagine.
There are several different actions you can take with your speed.
1. Full speed: Move you speed in spaces, can move around objects, no other
actions.
2. Action speed: Move ½ your speed in spaces, can move around objects, can make
a single attack or some other simple action.
3. Run (w/ or w/out feat): Move 5/4 speed (3/2 with feat) in only straight
line.
A hard concept to imagine is how can a monster attack me if I moved past him?
Well there are rules that prohibit attacks on a moving target but one can still
attack a moving creature.
Attacker can only do action speed to attack target.
The attacker must be able to move to the target’s path line* that the target
passed on.
It must be in the same turn.

I hope this clears up the speed confusion.
Endurance
Basically, burns whatever you move or 1/10 of whatever your attack is.
You recover a little endurance every turn, less motion you take more endurance
recovered. During Action Speed, you burn twice normal endurance for each space.

*note no recovery is made while making an attack or any physical action.
** Recovery is only active for 1 hour, after that recovery ends.
Example. Speed = 8 and 10 Endurance remaining. Move 4 spaces and 4 Endur burned
and 4 recovered. So Endurance = 10 still.
Attacks, a desired action to the best.
There is no super secret to attacking, but there are many methods. To start off
what is my attack.
Strength + Weapon addition + skill in Weapon (Single weapon or weapon type) +
Magic additions = Total Dice attack
That Dice number can be split in half and taken as the attack. eg D18 attack,
can take a 9 instead of rolling.
2nd Attacks and more are usually D10 less than the preceding attack Dice and
can only be taken when not moving more than 1 space.
Where do I get sudden adders or subtractors to my attack. These are based on
numerous situations, the most common are.
1. Combined attack: # of Attackers = + (# - 1)x2
eg 2 attackers +2; 3 attackers +4 to total attack
2. Behind Attack: +4 or Side Attack: +2
3. Size Modifier: Bigger = - ; Smaller = +
4. Terrain advantage: Uphill +2
5. Target specific spot: Groin attack = -6 (stuns target)
PLANES (or Dimensions of existence)

What is Magic
Magic is a tool; it is something that can not be seen as it is only at what it
does. A good way to think of it is, the relationship between fish and
underwater. All people are fish. Magic users come for magic (the air) out of
this world (under the water) and have bring magic (air) with them to this world
(below the water). Magic is a thing that has desires of its own but would
rather do what it is told then do its own will. Try picking up a stick as a
reference to Magic. The stick wants to travel down to the Earth but you can
still through it up into the air if you choose. That is like Magic a tool that
does whatever it’s told. It is communicating with Magic that is the hard part.
In addition, as more and more people ask it to do things the less and less it
can do. In other words, the more Magic users the less Magic each Magic user can
have. However, there is so much out there it is hard to notice a big
difference. Beyond that, Magic will not fight itself. If someone does one thing
with magic and another person requests something else opposite to the first
request, the magic will go to the better requester or the person who asked
better. (Asked is the closest term for the connection between a person and
magic, i.e. you throw a stick. You ask a Magic to be done)
Here are some quick idiot hints.
If you don’t know all the laws in that city don’t argue with the guards. Most
cites hold that arguing with Police force is an illegal action.
If a monster claims to love you, it is probably under a spell because you look
just as ugly to it has it looks ugly to you.
If Matthew, when he is Game Master, says “game error…Freezing up.” Quickly say
these words, “Open Character stored information on _____[Character’s name]____.
[He will raise his hand, nod his head, or some physical action to show he has
acknowledged you] Open Gold amount. [He will look at how much gold you have,
then he will say that number] Now, restate a number under 20000 and that is how
much you will have.” This is the only gold one I know works, everything else I
have tried only got my character put back to level 1. Hint. If you put all your
gold down first before he goes into error mode you can collect that money again
after you redo your carrying money. Info given by GEO NEO
If strange glowing and sounds come from a bushy area, throw a healing potion at
it. Once the healing potion goes in a Large sack will come back out containing
20 aqua potions. I personally like healing potions more, but the gold you will
get if you sell the aqua potions can get you more healings potions. I don’t
know if there is a limit to how many, I have only done 5 Healing potions at the
most.

When in a city and some NPC travelers or peasants start fighting, quickly say
out loud, “I declare Battle!” For that entire day in that city you can kill any
peasant-rank citizen in the city and the guards won’t stop you or even worry
about you. (You can also kill the NPCs originally fighting) Just DON’T attack
the guards. Shop dealers are not Peasant class unfortunately.

This is really weird one. All the peasants in Peconian City know the location
of Verdad’s Cavern is and how to get threw it. This cavern contains and endless
supply of Truth flowers (Which once the bud is forced open create an aura where
all subjects in a 5 sq m tell only the truth)

If you come across a gay person run, run you fool cause why would you be near
him in the first place.
I have an e-mail account that you can ask any other questions you just have to
be patient. If Matt reads it and feels sorry for your character he may send
back a code for you. mailto:
[email protected]
Say these words, “Matt I’m going to request a code from you in assisting me to
help others in my great mission of kindness. Do not turn me down for you will
be turning down all those who I would help. Just say yes to being nice and
don’t think twice.”
Do you want to help me out? I need people to write down what happens during
game play. This would be good for future purposes
