Species

Wizards and Warriors Role Playing Game

There are many different types of species that you may choose to be during the character creation process all with there benefits and disadvantages.  The following is a brief description of the species that can be played by you or a npc.

Human Side:

Monster Side:

Human

All around

Myst

same as human live forever

Thri-Kreen

The Traveling bug that is all you need to know. Perfect as a traveler, no understanding of family, magic, or town’s political issues. Learns like a human.

Psionicist

Lots of magic but very uncontrollable.

Hobbit

Short, smart, weak, and no magic. You’ve seen the movie, right? (Does not like to travel either)

Winged One

Can fly but is very weak because it needs to stay light (it’s not much of a traveler, enjoys the protection of home)

Gnome

Short, smarter then the dwarf, and an ok fighter but very strange in manner

Dwarf

Nice, short, strong, and stupid no actually if I really told you about the Dwarf it may not be so fun or hard anymore because you would just pick this race. Unfortunately, the dwarf is very for himself or his unique tribe.
Capable Speed 2-10*, Speaks Common and Dwarven, average height 4ft 3 in, Dark vision, +2 awareness dealing with stonework, +D4 know vs. poison, +D4 Magic Knowledge against magic, +D2 attack against orcs, goblins, and bugbears, +D8 defense against giants, +D4 to appraising gems, +D4 to craft with any stone or metal, -D6 to any charisma style skill, Raising HP costs 2 less character points.

Elf

You better know a lot about them because they can kill you easily if you don’t understand their abilities. Most elves act in exactly the same manner, but no elf actually looks exactly alike (just like the humans).
Capable Speed 4-14*, Speak Common and Elven, average height 5ft, only needs 4 hours of sleep, has infravision, optional (no ride horses, no effect to charm, and +2 save vs. charm), +2 to knowledge dealing with forests, -2 knowledge dealing with cities, no effect from alcohol, no use of Slam or Slam 2, greater advantage with gaining magic feat. Raising dexterity costs 2 less character points, Raising strength costs 2 more character points, Raising awareness costs 1 less character point, Raising control costs 1 more character point, Raising knowledge costs 2 less character points, Raising HP costs 2 more character points.

Dikeeny

This is probably the best one to pick because you can switch around if you don’t like how you are currently. They don’t have any supreme special attributes. But this race comes in normal shapes and sizes.
Capable Speed 4-16*, Common Language, average Height 6ft, starts with one feat, gets +1 skill point/20 levels and 1 skill point more to start with, no penalty for switching classes. (Except for the abilities that come with certain classes. Like the Wizard feat is unachievable after age 14, magic feat cost character points and requires a trainer, others described on the class sheet.)

Bugbear

Most common on Jared, very dumb and easy Atk.D10 Def.D8, Like Orcs

Orc

Adam, Hp 4 Atk.D12 Def.D10, Orcs can either be in an army, traveler by themselves or with a partner, or in a pack that they have formed.

Death Knight

Thulcandra, Hp 6 Atk.D12+D4 Def.D10+D4

Goblin

Nathan, Hp 8 Atk.D12+D6 Def.D12+D4, Goblins don’t like grouping together but E-one is forcing them to group in twos or more. Some still don’t do it.

Ogre

Ryan, Hp 10 Atk.D20+D4 Def.D12+D4, Singled out or in packs

Griffin

Blake, Hp 5 Atk.D10+D4 Def.D12, In packs but not in Armies

Dragon

   1. Red Dragon: In most cases it is more commonly called the Cave Dragon. Evil.
   2. Green Dragon: Equally as evil yet not as dangerous as the Red Dragon, This dragon is found more in forests. Evil. Forrest Dragon
   3. Blue Dragon: Another neutral dragon, except not as seen for this one dwells in snowy or icy terrains. Neutral. Snow Dragon
   4. Gold Dragon: A very powerful and good ally that can be found anywhere they can do good. Good. Quest Dragon
   5. Silver Dragon: Another good fighter, the silver dragon can be found in high mountains. Good. Mountain Dragon
   6. Brass Dragon: “A talking Dragon” well of course, but still can be a good  fighter. Neutral. Desert Dragon
   7. Steel Dragon: Thee, I wish I were a human dragon. Neutral. City Dragon
   8. White Dragon: More a rumor than anything else, Supposedly the greatest dragon. Good
   9. Black Dragon: I’ll just put it this way, it is the equal counter-part to the White Dragon

Troll

Varies

Giant

Varies

Spicker

Varies

Town Destroyer

Justin, Hp 12 Atk.D12+D10 Def.D20, Never by themselves
