Marine route:

Two options exist: From the wharf of Bodeguita, Cartagena, it takes about 1 to 2 hours by rapid boat to the Archipelago of Rosario.  From the Tourist wharf of Tolú it takes about an hour by rapid boat to the sector of San Bernardo.

Land routes:

The route starts from Cartagena passing the industrial zone of Mamonal and the small town of Pasacaballos. At Pasacaballos, a ferry is arranged to cross the Channel of Dique. All of the roads on Barú Island are dirt roads including those in the northeastern end of the National Park, Playa Blanca, Marsh of Cholón or the small town of Barú.

Aquatic transport inside the National Park:

The aquatic transports include small launches and boats made of wood or kayaks accompanied by motor, candle, or oars.  These boats act as taxis and they can be contacted through the hotels or any place on the islands.

Air routes:

The airports of Cartagena and Barranquilla are both international airports. The airports for national operations with Jet type airplanes are Santa Marta, Valledupar, Montería and Riohacha. The airports for regional and national operations with propeller type airplanes are Corozal, Mompox, Carmen de Bolívar, Magangué, Maicao, Tolú and San Marcos. Other regional airports include El Banco and Coveñas.
