Temples and Major Centers of Worship
The temple to Willis, the lord of death, murder and strife, is by the Boo mansion, surrounded by graves.  It's a kind of giant mausoleum, decorated by murals of plague and suffering death.  It's slightly unpleasant.  Beneath the temple is a great labyrinth, which is rumored to house all the treasures put into the ground with their owners. His priests are dead.  Presenting an offering pleasing to the Prince of Lies warrants you the ability to speak to the dead.

The temple to
Jacehan, lord of knowlege, is by Peach's Castle, a giant library rivalling the Library of Alexandria or the mind of Russ T.  Within its walls and many secret passages and chamers are rumored to be every written word since the creation of Jacehan's cult.  His priests are scholars, whether they recognize his influence or no; Jacehan does not care.  Presenting an offering pleasing to The Binder warrants you great wisdom on some matter close to your heart.

The temple to
Yazzy Guy, the Shy Guy icon and personification of Mastery, is near the exit from the Toy Box.  The temple itself is a grand arena; on its walls are the weapons of all the nameless who fell, unburied, uninterred.  His priests are nameless warriors.  Presenting an offering pleasing to the Warrior-Poet warrants you a share of his mastery.

The temple to
Peach, the Lady of Justice, is in Goomba Village.  The temple is a hall of mirrors which are said to show the every sin of a lifetime to the truly unjust.  It is decorated with the heads of those killed justly.  Her priests are the righteous.  Presenting an offering pleasing to the Blind Lady warrants you a settling of some dispute.

The temple to
Jefepato, the Lord of Fowl and, more recently due to Union requirements, a personification of Mystery, is by the pond in Toad Town.  The interior of the temple is a giant nest.  On its walls are a feather from every duck ever to live.  No one can quite see why this is necessary and it is considered 'mystery' enough.  His priests are precious few in number.  Presenting an offering pleasing to the Bill warrants you the gifts of a duck.

The temple to
Crystal King, the Lord of Undead, is in Gusty Gulch, near the windmill.  The temple is completely empty, like an open grave or an undead heart.  His priests live and yet do not.  Presenting an offering pleasing to The Rotting Hand warrants you the objectivity of a zombie.

The temple to
Bum, the Lord of Nature, is in the wilderness of Lavalava Island.  The temple is made of living wood, grown around a nave into as perfect a cathedral as any other.  In his grove, one of every kind of plant grows and two of every kind of animal roam.  His priests do not know to call themselves that.  Presenting an offering pleasing to The Friar of the Woods warrants you the tongues of beasts.

The temple to
Tinalla, the Lady of Life, is in Starborn Valley.  The temple is simply an altar situated in the snow, her temple more an idea than an aedifice.  It is said that the lost innocence of all beings flows here to be given to new life by the Lady's hand.  Her priests are not innocent.  Presenting an offering pleasing to The Sanguine Lady warrants you an answer to a question you've never asked.

There is a shrine to Tinalla in Flower Fields, where the Lady will revive the fallen.

The temple to
Kiwi, the Lord of Weather, is in Dry Dry Desert near no landmark.  The temple, made of ice and lit by trapped thunder, is a monument to the battle that left the desert scarred.  Kiwi preserved this one place, and hid in it the thousand thousand names whispered on the wind.  Presenting an offering pleasing to The Tempest warrrants you the craft of shaman.

The temple to
Azumaril, the Lord of Love, is in Bob-omb Town, and is run by Bruce the bob-omb.  The temple appears as a house of straw, as though it is able to be toppled at any moment by a slight breeze.  Worked into the thatch is a lock of hair from every spurned lover.  His priests are fools and do not care.  Presenting an offering pleasing to Azumaril warrants you a love potion.

The temple to
ZZT, the Master of Luck, is at the base of Shooting Star Summit.  The temple is a great house of odds, decorated in all the flash needed to part fools from their money.  All of this lost money of fools is kept in the great vault of a thousand combinations.  His priests are hopeful children wearing the clothes of men.  Presenting an offering pleasing to the Prince of Dice warrants you the faith of a gambler.

The temples to
Azra and Rael are not for mortals.  Their priest is a madman.  No offerings will please them.
