QT Pie in position to win her second championship

QT put up an ugly 7-7 record on Sunday, but it was pretty enough to maintain her four-game lead as she heads into the final week of the season.  Mark, D.J. and Blaine gained no ground as they also went 7-7 despite different picks by everyone.  QT seeks her first title since her rookie campaign in 1997.

Ali stayed mathematically alive with an impressive 10-4 record in a week when the favored teams were only 6-8.  She and Blaine celebrated big-time when their Cleveland Browns scored 17 straight points in the fourth quarter to prevail 41-38 in Tennessee.  Ali also flexed her little-bird muscles by successfully picking the underdog Chiefs, Redskins, Seahawks and Cardinals.  She pulled within one game of Nickster, who is clinging to fifth place.

Pa's 7-7 mark gave him 94 losses for the year, which ties the dubious record he set 20 years ago for most defeats in a season.  He needs to go 14-0 in the final week to avoid setting a new level of futility.

Mark and D.J., four and five games behind, respectively, still have reasonable shots at first place because there are many tough matchups scheduled for Sunday.  That also provides slight hope for Blaine, who is eight games back but will configure his picks to mathematically give himself a chance at his 14th Picks title.
