When the desire takes you, there's really nothing you can do to prevent yourself from going on another bike tour.  That, combined with being unemployed and a recent Master's graduate, was certainly reason enough to ride from Kincardine, Ontario to Gatineau, Qubec in September, 2005.  Of course, since I would be moving to Gatineau a month later, it was also an easy way to transport my bike across the province!

Details about each day are found below in 'Daily Journals'.  Overall, the trip was wonderful, with breath-taking scenery of the
Niagara Escarpment, Ottawa Valley, hills of central Ontario and many, many lakes.  Of particular beauty were the 'grand descents': down from the Niagara Escarpment to the lowlands south of Georgian Bay, and down from Foymount into the Ottawa Valley 4 days later.  A little rain got me wet on days 1 and 3, but there was sufficient sunshine on the other days to dry out the tent and all my clothes in Stayner and Bancroft!  Let's hear it for solar radiation.
