Sheeba came to us on a Friday and a week later she was no more. She was a beautiful German Shepherd. Brown and black she must have been majestic when in good health. Hopefully she must also have been the recipient of a lot of love (This may be wishful thinking for I like to imagine that the world is a nice place). To begin I must go back to the day when I first saw her.... | |
Holi is beyond doubt one of the most awaited for and popular festivals of our country. But at previous Holi an incident occurred which has left a permanent impression on my mind and surely not a happy one. One evening on 13th January 2002, we got a frantic call from the Air Force Base at Agra. A huge python had been sighted exactly opposite the nursery school in the Base. The school would be opening the next day after vacations. Could we do something about it...? |
