| After Cross Mather Pass, we ate lunch on top. It started snowing, we got off the pass quickly and made camp at the unamed lake below Split Mountain. The snow did not last long, but for the 3rd of September this was an early snow. That night it got so cold that ice started forming in the water bottles we had in the tent. | ||||||||||||||||

| Pacman and Mountain Goat on top of Split Mountain. Most of the snow had melted, but some was still around, and it was cold on top. About 32 degrees. The Register (below) put the elevation at 14,0051 feet. |
