| Upper Dumbell Pass. No it really isn't named that, but this cross country pass has no name, so I call it Upper Dumbell Pass. It had gotten cold, on Day 6, so we were bundled up for most of the day. Going down the other side took a little Bouldering, and you can see the angle, the loose rock, gravel and boulders made this next 1/4 mile take 2 hours to cross. (But it was all fun) |

| Day 7: Cross yet, another unamed pass above the Palasade lakes. You can see mather pass as the low point on the left. In the distance you can see Split Mountain. It is a little over 14,000 feet. A JMT or PCTer could climb this mountain while on there way...It is about a 4 hour hike. | ||||||||||||||||
