Maow companions: A kriwolf named Jackivar was trained by her mother and now serves as Krysta's mount, the enchanted gem he bears enabling him to walk on water. Her first maow, an oceafox named Ella, often accompanies her but dislikes violence. Other maow she has befriended include a swelldusk dolphin named Lona, a marigull named Thera, and a home-body turtisle named Kennit.
Family: the Cassidy family has been the primary source of Talston's Guides for many generations, given the entire family's predisposition for alluvic magic and martial skills. Her mother was Guide before an accident put her in a wheelchair, and now Krysta's older brother serves as Guide. Her father is a Knight who takes pride in maintaining and adding to the Hall's aquarium collection.
