Master Your Body - Body Bar
Master Your Body The Body Bar Series is a twenty plus volume collection of fitness videos offering a variety of different workouts for all fitness ranges. The best way to describe these videos are fresh and innovative promoted in a professional atmosphere. The videos are broken down into four sections strength and conditioning, cardio and strength, sports training, and mind/body influenced.

What I like about these videos are they are done by excellent instructors, they pack a lot of workout in 30 to 60 minutes, cover a variety of different types of fitness, and offer many innovative moves not found in many fitness videos. What keeps me coming back to these videos are you do not outgrown them, as you achieve a level, you can opt to do move advanced variations or go up to the next bar level.

Control is one area these videos offer and form is stressed in all the videos, doing reps at a slower pace makes the workouts harder when you have to work at control and form which are very important aspects of strength training. In many of the videos you will pick up the pace, but I have never felt so out of control like I have in other videos that I am sacrificing form just to perform the move. Also some of these video incorporate some really tough moves to challenge your body and that is where I have seen the most gains in athletic performance in other areas of my life.

This a short total body tape that is good for those time crunch days and also part of the short express series of workouts. You can use a variety of body bars from the mini, classic, light, or heavy to choose from and get a good workout.

Basic Training is a good quick tape that packs a lot in a short amount of time. You start with a warm up, then you start off with shoulders, doing upright rows, lateral raises, and military presses. Now you give your upper body and much needed rest while going to your lower body for a variety of squats. Then back up to your upper body for front raises, biceps, push ups, triceps, and back work and then followed onto doing some abs and right on to a cool down.

Body Bar Challenge Volume 10 instructor Keli Roberts runtime 60 minutes for beginner to advanced offers strength and definition and part of the Strength and Conditioning series.  Get out your body bars for a fun but  tough tape requiring two body bars and get ready to work your upper body, lower body standing, and lower body on the floor.  This video can be done using one mini or light bar for the lighter bar segments.

You begin with a basic warm up to get your heart rate up, then onto standing upper body consisting of shoulders, back, and biceps using a light and heavy bar.  Some of the exercises are bent over rows, upright rows, military press, squat with a military press, single arm rows, and bicep curls. Some of the exercises are repeated up to three times and then you have a quick stretch before the next section.

The second section is standing lower body work consists of squats, alternating side step squats, front lunges, side lunges, front lunges with the knee up, front lunges with the leg raised, leg extension with the bar as weight, hamstring curl with the bar as weight, jump squats, and jump lunges. You use the bar for all exercises except for the jump lunges and jump squats.

Now the standing workout is out of the way it is time to get to the floor for some upper body work that works the chest, shoulders, and triceps. You do two sets of push ups, pullovers, french presses, close grip tricep presses, chest presess, and planks.

Next you are onto the lower body work where you use the bar as restistance except for the ending flutter kicks. The exercise include oblique lifts, oblique lifts with leg raised, oblique lift using your arms with you leg raised, leg lifts with the bar laying across for inner and outer thigh work, and then the final exercise flutter kicks.

After the four sections you are no down to the cool down for a laying down mostly stretching, plus some on all fours stretching, and ending in a cross legged seated position and stretching your neck and some final motivational words. The queing on the video is very good, you also work stability, coordination, endurance, and challenges a variety of muscles.
