I am an advanced exerciser who regularly workouts out to Jeri
Love's Ripped program which includes the Ripped, Ripped to the
Core, Ripped Slim and Lean, Ripped 1000, and Ripped
and Chiseled workout
videos. When I
started this series in September in 06 it has been an amazing journey
along the way and the most rewarding. This series is one of the
most positive workout series I have seen over the years and one
that continues to challenge me nine months later because there are
so many variations to choose from like dumbbells, barbells, or even
weight plates so you can work your muscles in a variety of
angles.
My favorite of the series is Ripped 1000, the 70 push ups are
awesome, pulse reps, squat presses, step intervals, and those
killer ab moves. I alway leave this workout so pumped,
positive, and energetic.
Being asked this question so many times, here is a sample of one of
my weeks workout sessions and equals a little over 8 hours per week
worth of exercise. This is my maintance schedule. If
like after the holidays, I want to lose a few pounds, I
will increase my weeks workout by 2 extra hours and do it during my
off day.

Someone once asked me how I survive all the temptations available
at the workplace such as cafeterias, vending machines, office
parties, and goodie people. Goodie people are people who bring
delightful treats into work and share with others. First the
cafeteria is the easiest for me to avoid, I bring my own lunch not
just a sandwich lunch but a regular lunch you might find at a
restaurant. I might bring in a black bean stew, with home made
whole grain roll, side salad, and fruit. I save the fruit as a
snack instead of hitting the vending machines and can pass up any
goodies the goodie people bring. Office parties are one area that
is the hardest even being a vegetarian, I find it is easier to take
miniature size food servings and spread it out over your plate,
talk a lot, eat a small amount and if you plan it right no seconds
and talk yourself through desert. If there is something there I
want then I will have it, but I do not eat just to eat I must enjoy
what I am eating or I do not eat it.
