The temperature of the thermal water in Panagyurishte is over 40°C and it is obtained through deep drilling and submerged pump. The water is sulfate, sodium and calcium with mineralization 0.58 g/l.

In year 2000 town’s Mineral Bath was renovated and currently it offers various services: bath for personal use (costs only 2-3 leva/hour); sauna; hydro-massaging bath; massage, performed by professional rehabilitation-masseur, which costs from 4 to 15 leva, depending on the procedure. The Mineral Bath has very well equipped fitness hall, which can be used once for half or one-hour period, as well as against subscription for 10 days, which will cost you 15 leva for adults.

In the summer mineral water s used also at the newly built in 2001 open-air pool, situated on the circular road, very close to "Bunay" factory. The entrance fee is: 2 leva/ daily for adults and 1 leva – for child. It will cost you further 2 leva for using a lounge. 

Besides, there is daily bar, where you may order hot or cold beverages, and for lunch or dinner by the pool, you may have salads and delicious meals, made on barbeque.

 

In the village of Bania (11 km away from Panagyurishte) mineral waters are grouped in three springs: Banskite izvori, Topilata i Ludoto banche. They are captured in years 1935-1939 and later the sanatorium is built. The temperature of the water is 25-44°C with total debit of about 23 l/sec. The mineral waters are nitric, sulfate, sodium and calcium with mineralization 0.54 - 0.70 mg/l.

 

They are used for treatment of cadiac-vascular illnesses, digestive system ilnesses, etc.

The village of Bania is a balneology center, which has a modern mineral open-air Pool (entrance fee for adults is 1 leva/ daily), public Mineral Bath and Sanatorium.

 

The mineral water in the village of Poibrene (18 km away from Panagyurishte) is obtained through two artesian drillings with debit of about 9 l/s and the temperature 33 - 42 °C . The water is alkali (pH 8.9), sulfate, sodium, fluorine (11 mg/l), with low mineralization - 0.53 g/l. It also has high content of boron, strontium, etc. The resource of the thermal mineral water is used for development of balneology. There is a working public Mineral Bath in the village.       

The mineral water in Strelcha (14 km away from Panagyurishte) has a temperature of 22.8-42°Ń, mineralization 0.3 g/l and debit of about 0.250-2.2 l/s. The water is hydrocarbon, sulfate–sodium, with low alkali reaction. The Mineral Bath in the town is well kept and is working without a day off.

There are a few holiday houses, sanatorium and open-air Olympic size pool, which offers in the summer possibilities for training, rehabilitation and preparation of sporting teams.
