There
are two kinds of anger. One comes when the unexpected happens like a rape,
a mugging, or a senseless death. The other comes from expectation.
Both can destroy people.
When something bad happens unexpectedly it makes us
angry. We have a right to feel angry for a little while. Before we let it
consume us and keep us from moving forward, we have to at some point stop asking
WHY ME and start asking WHY NOT ME.
This kind of anger can be turned into positive energy that we can use.
Anger we feel when our expectations
aren't met is a waste of time and is useless. It can literally make you sick.
All it does, is make you a very unpleasant person to be around. It makes us feel
sorry for ourselves and we tend to bring others down with us, because boohoo
land is a lonely place. Anger doesn't doesn't like to be alone so it will make
you spread it around. If you are angry then whomever you meet will be given a
taste of it, and will make them angry in return. Makes for bad karma all around.
This kind of anger only saps us of our strength, keeps us from seeing good, and
is totally exhausting.
So figure out why you are angry. If it comes from the
unexpected then ask yourself how you can use it in a positive way. If it comes
from unmet expectation then you need to get over
it. Throw it away as fast and as far as you can. You'll be glad you did!
