| Vasilis Alexiou was born on 12th of January 1957 in Dimitra (Trikala). He was a powerfull goalkeeper. In the summer of 1982 he came in the team of PAS from Panathinaikos where he was playing from 1977. He was player of PAS untill the end of season 1983-84. That summer he was transferred to Pierikos and from there to Atromitos of Athens. Powerfull and decisive player he was awarded with the nickname "Maier", because of his physical similarity with the German goalkeeper Sepp Maier. |
