Rite of Valor/Icarus Wings/Hydra
Make sure you have an empty amphora before attempting to go to the Hydra's
Lair. You need to know about the Icarus wings. Read the book in FA's Correspondence
School. You will need beeswax from a fallen beehive, some of which is located
on the ground next the Dragon Pillar north of Silmaria. You will need to get
Pegasus Feathers, and the wing frame at Science Island. Put the wax and feathers
on the wings, and take the frame. The hero can fly off the ramp on the second
story of the laboratory. Once in the Hydra's lair, you can get some goo into
an amphora from the tree on the right. You will need this later. The Hydra
must have a head chopped off, then cauterized with fire. You can do this alone
or with Elsa's help. She will arrive when you start to fight it. After defeating
the Hydra, if you search the cave you will be able to get gold lying near
the entrance, a magic helm, and there is a treasure chest on the far left.
Thieves should disarm the trap, magic users should use the trigger spell.
Fighters should have just enough health points to survive the damage. In the
treasure chest is magical chain mail, rope, and a Shrink spell for magic users.
