Rite of Conquest
You will need to talk to Andre to take a boat west. The fortress is on a small
island near Psara. You will have to defeat numerous mercenaries, a wizard,
and the general. If you have the sneaking ability and the blackjack, that
is a very effective combo to use. Before you get into the fortress, there
are some stairs. Thieves and magic users can jump down off the third landing
next to the grate, and use their abilities to open it. This will sneak you
in instead of going into the front door of the fortress. If you fill an amphora
with water from the river where the Pegasus is, and give it to FA, he will
give you an item appropriate to your character type, so thieves will get a
sneaking charm (useful for this Rite), magic users get the Thermonuclear Spell.
Fighters get a magical helm. When you defeat the wizard, you will receive
an Augmentation Scroll (non-magically endowed characters can sell it to Shakra),
a magic dagger, and money, of course. Defeating the general will earn you
his shield. Before returning the shield to Logos, have some poison cure pills
in your inventory. You will need them if you personally want to save Rakeesh
(otherwise tell a guard).
