The Quest for Glory 1 (QFG1) game was actually first released in 1989 as Hero's Quest. Due to some copyright issues, it was re-released as Quest for Glory 1. There are two versions of the game - EGA and VGA. The EGA version is the original (same as Hero's Quest, it just has a different name) with a command typing interface with some mouse control. The VGA version has newer graphics, and is point-and-click mouse interface only.You can find QFG 1 (if you're lucky) in its own box, but are most likely going to find both versions bundled with QFG 2, QFG 3, and QFG4 in The Quest for Glory Anthology CD (1996) or The Quest for Glory Collection Series CD (1997).
