Obtaining items in Shapeir (Day 1-4)
See the tips page for essential items you won't have to pay for. The following
are things that will be helpful or are needed for the game but you will need
to pay for them. Get as many things from both lists, a.s.a.p. Starting at the
Gates Plaza (where the Katta's Tail Inn is at), buy a map and compass from Alichica.
Give money to the musician, and the beggar if he is there. Buy flowers for any
female you may meet. At the Fountain Plaza, you may buy rations for later or
a snack from the Meat Stand. Don't forget to fill up your waterskins here when
you get some. In the Apothecary, buy incense and pills. Ask him about the dispel
potion. Later, you can ask him about the caged beast (see the desert section
later). At the Magic shop you can buy a magic rope, magic spells (new ones that
are not from QFG1 are force bolt and levitate, and x-ray glasses. Ask about
the Enchantress and the Dervish. If you are magic-skilled, see the section "Magic-user
Fun". You can't buy anything in the Palace Plaza. In the Fighter's Plaza there's
the Weapon Shop. Buy any weapons that you may need.
The Adventurer's Guild (Day 1-4)
Talk to Uhura, if you have fighting skill or would like to become a paladin,
see the section "Fighter Fun". Read and sign the guestbook, check out the bulletin
board. You can also ask Uhura and Rakeesh about monsters and paladins.
The Astrologer (Day 1-4)
To get to the Astrologer, start at the Palace Plaza. Go south (Tarik of Stars).
Follow the path and you'll reach him. Give the Astrologer some money if you
like. Ask about your fortune, and tell him about yourself. Come back often,
he really does predict the future.
