Thief Fun
Start off by making the thief sign to Dinarzad, the Moneychanger. Ask her
about the favor and she'll ask you to come back the next evening with the
proper thieves' tools. You can get some oil from Harik at the Apothecary.
The next evening, she'll tell you to go to Sharki Darb, then Rani Tarik, right
into an unnamed alley at midnight. Here's how to get there: start at the Gates
Plaza, go north. When you see the two corridors opposite of each other in
the hallway, take the right one. Follow the path, when you see a door to the
left, take it. Then take the door to the right. You'll be in a dead-end with
a door and a blue candle next to it. At midnight, pick the lock. Sneak in.
Get the tea service from the shelf. Oil the hinges on the closet, unroll the
rug. A resident will likely come in, but he will ignore you. Open the trapdoor
and pick the lock on the box inside. Since another person is coming in, unroll
the rug, and hide in the closet. When you emerge from the closet, roll the
rug, grab the loot, unroll the rug, and hide in the closet. When you come
out again, you may leave. There's also an emerald studded bowl and silver
dagger if you search the cabinet and chest well. The next day, give the service
to Dinarzaad. Sell her the bowl and dagger. She will tell you about Issur's
stash of money. At night, pick the lock on his door, spread oil under his
anvil to move it, open the trapdoor, and pick the lock on his box. Time to
get outta there. When you go to Raseir, make the thief sign for Ferrari. He'll
tell you to come back that evening. He will introduce you to his friend Ugarte,
and on the evening of Day 28 will give you your job. That night, sneak to
the Fountain Plaza and use your rope to get into the window. Sneak again once
inside. If you make a noise, don't move until Khaveen has stopped stirring.
Oil the hinges on the door, pick the lock, get the bird and get back to the
Blue Parrot Inn so you can give the bird to Ferrari.
