Cycle Odyssey 2001 Winnipeg to Inuvik,nwt
                              PHASE II                      THE NEXT ADVENTURE                       FT. SIMPSON to INUVIK
Phase II will commence after a well deserved rest of preparing food to be shipped to Watson Lake and Pelly Crossing and held for when we get there. Bikes need to be prepared; tires changed, my bike fixed, all greased and oiled, Jeannine has made up many dehydrated meals using some of the foods we sent ahead. Orville, Lesly and I made up a new schedule for Phase II and lowered the daily kilometers per day to 60 from 80, since we will be in 3 mountain ranges days will be longer with shorter distances. Water will be an issue in some areas. Conditioning will be an issue at the start, but we will quickly get in shape.
Yesterday, June 12,  a local person here, invited us to go fishing up the Mackenzie. We caught 9 Jackfish and 2 big pickerel, about 10 pounds of filets in all. We had a major fish feed for supper. Today we are getting a few things done and then must prepare the food cache for Watson Lake and mail it off asap.
To all our families, friends and people we met along the way that are checking this site, we want to say thanks for the support, encouragement and interest in our journey. We welcome your involvement in our journey of life. Please sign the Guest Book as we love to know who is out there too.
Our communications will be less on this phase of the Odyssey, a lot less towns, more wilderness and isolation.
We are really enjoying the experience, companionship, people, communities, the endless changing scenery of forests, rivers, lakes and terrains. Simply heavenly!
All our love;
Lesly, Jeannine, Orville and Jerry
