July 16:
Jeannine called from the beginning of the Dempster Highway while having stopped for a burger and fries and having a couple of days rest to let the muscles relax. Forty km left to do today, and about 900 to go in 16 days. The weather is really hot and it's been about 1 month of rain, with sunny days few and far between.
They still haven't decided how they will get back to Simpson (either by driving a rental car that is due back, grab a ride on a truck etc.). When I asked Jeannine how it was going she said, Seems like it's been nothing but rain but it's great hard work. Next time I am going paddling, not pedaling! Next stop with telephone access should be Fort MacPherson.
