July 8:
The strawberries are ready!!! Today, a call from the radio phone 80 miles down the Campbell Highway. The gang stopped to use the phone and hoped to cycle another 40 km before settling in for the night. Jeannine reports, "It is a lot of hard work, but this morning was the first morning we woke up to sunshine in the last 3 weeks". The next stop with phone access will be Ross River. Are they almost there yet, you ask? 1600 km to go!

The gang is safe and sound in Ross River today. It's been raining, raining and raining some more. Everything is going great, though!
