Here is our spring calendar!
Hinamaturi is the Girls'/Dolls' Festival. It is celebrated on the 3rd of March
when we decorate and display Hina dolls.
Most families with girls celebrate this festival. They pray for their girls'
health and happiness. They also wish them good luck and a happy marriage.

In Japan many schools perform a graduation ceremony in March.
Cherry-blossom viewing or
Sakura
The origin of Cherry- blossom viewing can be traced back
to Edo's period.

Children's
Day
We celebrate it on the 5th of May..
It was the boys' festival in old times.
It is the children's festival now.
This festival wishes children health.
Carp streamers (known as Koinobori) decorate the
landscape in honour of Children's Day. In Japanese culture, the carp symbolizes
courage and strength because of its ability to swim up a waterfall.
