Tutorials on Distributed Computing

This is a page with guides designed to let everyone be able to let their computers help in solving problems.

What is Distributed Computing? Look here for an explanation.

I think there are many potential participants (and their computers) out there who would do some DC if they knew how. Therefore I’ve written guides to some projects hoping that they will help the new people to get started.

This page contains (I hope) everything a newbie should need to know about how to participate in a project. It is far from complete, but any suggestions would be welcome. Just email me an idea and I’ll see what I can do – be aware that I’m not very active anymore.

Also, if you want to add a guide then send it (along with any pictures to be added in the guide) to my email and I’ll give you all the credit. However, I’ll reserve the right to change the sound of your guide if it gets to sound too advanced. This is a “newbie portal” after all.
