The Atari 5200 has fewer accessories than a dollar store knock-off GI Joe, and what few it has are notoriously hard to come by. Here's what I've managed to acquire.

This controller has the reliability of a certain Sector 7-G drone. If the buttons don't stop working, the stick will. And when you fix the stick, the buttons will quit. This is a clear example of over-engineering and under-thinking. Even if you never use the controller, it will commit suicide all on its own over time. I hope that some day, someone comes up with a new controller, because it was an amazing concept that outstripped the technology of 1982.

You may ask "why is the switch box an accessory?" The answer is because in its stupidity, Atari decided to put the power input and A/V output in one external box. It's really fun to see electricty arcing when you plug it into your TV. Without this stupidly-engineered brick, your Atari 5200 also becomes a stupidly-engineered brick.
