The annual All Breeds Inhand Show was held on 28th September, at Canterbury A&P Grounds in the RDA arena.  We had good entries this year slightly up from last year.  Hopefully everyone who entered enjoyed the day.  The profit raised helps towards the South Island Pinto show in January and other shows we sponsor classes, sashes & trophy�s in.

Thanks to everyone who helped on the day, without all the helpers the show wouldn�t have gone as smoothly as it did.

We remanufacture & overhaul hydraulic brake components for cars, trucks, horse floats & automotive vehicles. This means that we can overhaul the brake cylinders on your vehicle, or horse float. We also overhaul - Boosters, Calipers & Proportioning Valves.  We also manufacture springs.  We can make a horse float or truck spring up to 8mm gauge wire.  We can also make springs & wire forms as a one off application to fix one that has worn out or broken e.g. gate springs, door locks etc.
Prize giving for the South Island members Hi Point Award winners was held after the last class in the coloured section.

Congratulations to all the winners.  The South Island winner and overall National winner was Nicole Bulford & AR Jay Cush finishing off a very successful show season.
Also congratulations to Matt & Carmen Butters whose 2 year old filly Rockdon Macabu won Reserve Champion overall coloured horse & also won the Registered Pinto Sash.

Canterbury Area Delegate Cherie Jackson had the pleasure of stewarding for Australian judge Narelle Kinnear who was reported to say that the pinto ring was of the highest standard she had judged at the Royal Show in 2008. Cherie also took the below pictures while watching the round the ring pony competition, she unfortunately doesn't know the competitors names.

The South Island show committee is busy organising the South Island Pinto show.  The committee members are Cherie Jackson, Julie Smith, Carmen Butters, Tui Willson, Katrina Gosney, Bridget Allison, Monique Brown, Vicki Fursdon & Melissa Eden. 

The South Island Pinto show is on 25th January 2009 at Canterbury A&P grounds. So mark this day on your calendar. The show gets better every year with more classes, sashes, trophys� & prizes on offer than in previous years.  All 1st place getters receive a prize and all entries in the registered Pinto class get a prize as well.  For those who aren�t showies there is a Pleasure Horse section so hopefully there is something for everyone.  If you know anyone with a Pinto please let them know about the show, the more support we get the bigger & better the show gets every year.  The schedule is now available on the website. 

We are also looking for sponsors, if you know anyone who would like to donate product for prizes, please e-mail Cherie Jackson.  The more prizes and sponsorship we receive the better the show.
